In a earlier thread there is a post stating that Bryan Plummer is a bad guy.
Duke@neo.rr.com posted this thread ranting how Bryan was a deadbeat who would not pay for a cue he won on E-bay.
Duke, after getting slammed by everyone on this site, tried to come across with an insincere apology.
Poll , should he be banned from AZB?
1-yes
2-no
3-no opinion

I don't know that he should be banned but I do think the whole thread should be deleted and Duke should start a new thread with a sincere apology.

I tried

I tried to have this thread deleted as I have left numerous messages with administrators about it, hell I even went to AZ HOUSEPRO!! if they don't take it off...well...I tried. as far as an apology, I apologized to HIM through e-mail for the hassle we had, but no...I don't like having to go through all I had to once the payment was cancelled. I just want it back, and if it was one of you guys' cues, you'd want it back also...and you know it. say what you want about me, (and I KNOW you will) but the situation is bad all the way around. don't worry guys, I'll NEVER buy or sell a cue on-line again. it's best done face to face. this internet dealing has really turned me off with the computer because of this.

The thread you refer to was unfortunate and inappropriate, but so is this one. It is not for the forum to vote on whether one of its members should be banned. There are those who diligently monitor this forum and make such decisions based on what they see, and, on the whole, they do that job well. If you wish to make absolutely certain that those who monitor the forum are aware of specific posts or threads, you can always e-mail AZHOUSEPRO.

I think the banning people should be done only in very rare situations, that being someone never posting anything related to billiards. Basically when a person's posts don't ever contribute ANYTHING to the topic - billiards.

Posting unrelated stuff and joking around [sometimes] is OK in my book. Good to have a laugh every now and then.

Other than that, I think it is good to hear "all sides" of an issue. Then people can make up their own minds "what to think".

Actually I have learned the most from people who tell me I am wrong and disagree with me - sometimes in a not so nice way.

I agree

I agree it was unfortunate and inappropriate, and so is this voting! I already contacted AZ housepro on the thread. whatever they do is ok with me...it's their site. I know others on this site that should be given the boot also if I do. some people on this site have nothing better to do than give others grief about everything. I was stating my opinion (like feedback for ebay), and if someone don't like it, too bad. I don't like some of the things others say.

Talk about a pot calling a kettle black.
If you are going to apologize, shut up after that.
You hijacked Daytona Joe's for sale thread and started spewing your foulmouth there.
Get a clue. It ain't the world. It's you.

I don't think Duke should be banned. I think he might actually be an OK guy if he learns how to conduct himself. However, I do think he needs to step up to the plate and be a man about this whole thing. The berating he gave Bryan over nothing was done in public. I think a public apology would also be appropriate.

Did you really just say that he might be OK if ONLY he changes who and what he is?? :p

okay. so Neo jumped the gun and flew off the handle without asking any questions, completely defaming a poolplayer. and then gave a limp apology and a few counter attacks after everyone jumped all over him... so now there's a "ban neo from the entire site" thread.

i like to think of this place as another poolroom- think of all of the crap you hear and see at your own homeroom- but you deal with it and go on. people may get 86'd for a little bit and then they get to come back at my room. and we all grow up a little together because it's a family and there aren't too many poolplayers or poolrooms around and you know you're stuck with each other for the long haul. no one quits pool. they may keep away from pool for years, even decades, but we always come back and hey, it's the very same people who were there when you quit.

It's consistently over 105 F both here in Sac and in the forum- is this our way of blowing off steam?

i voted to have him stay. we're all in it for the long haul, like it or not.

Hmmm ....

I don't think missed communications or payments via a 3rd party is
justification for a character assasination on someone. He can either
make it better or worse depending on what he wants to do. For every
action, there is a reaction. He just needs to ask himself if he wants
that action to be a positive one or not ....

Take the ruler to the back of his hands, and then let him stew and
think about it for awhile.

Everyone on this board is responsible for their language & the words in their posts.

This is not a forum for saving the world, it is about Pool & Billiards. Just because you have a problem with someone or some company, does not mean or suggest that everyone will. Your are responsible for sharing your opinion in public.

If you are responsible for publicly slandering a fellow member or a company, without proper grounds, you should eliminated completely & fined.

After being elimated from the A-Z Billiards & the CCB, plus fined, you could then be held accountable for public slander.

nothing I say or do is going to make this more positive on my part, so why try? these guys are going to draw their own conclusion either way, whether I make an attempt or not. everyone is against me and that's ok. most of them want me banned and that's ok too. anyone who really knows me, knows that I did what I thought was right at the time, until everyone jumped on me and now they're mad because I commented back to them. They can have their fun and bash me all they want, but if it happened to them, they'd be upset too.

slander? how did I slander him except say that our deal went bad? you guys are the ones with all the opinions, and now you're mad because I defended myself and commented back. I gave the facts of our deal as I had them, and said nothing untruthful. if someone else don't like it, too bad.

This isn't the first time that you've came to the forum and posted something that might be consittute as defaming someone's character. Remember the time when you came to the board and posted something about how the tracking number wasn't included in an email between you and WW cues and asked if WW cues was dishonest? I remember you also did something similar to ANOTHER seller who is also a member of this forum. Yet you haven't learned from your mistakes.

I think what people are unhappy about is not because you posted something bad about another person. It is because you posted something bad about nother person prematurely. You seriously should wait until the whole transaction or incident is finished before you start ranting about it publicly and possibly unfairly accusing someone of something he didn't do. In all 3 incidents you jumped the gun and came to a false conclusion. Have some patience, use your head, and then post after you have all the facts.

News flash
"Bryan Plummer is a bad guy"
Who wrote that? you. That would seem like slander to most people.

I agree with this statement above. This is a horrible way to treat and talk about someone especially when you were wrong!

You also stated that "You guys are the ones with all the opinions" Well it was YOUR wrong opinion and misjudgment of character that got you in the boat you are in now.

I guess it's kinda hard or you to eat crow as now that the shoe is on the other foot.

Maybe this is a lesson well learned?

No Vote doesn't condone behavior

Note: I voted no on a ban, but I think the situation was handled very poorly.

My vote: no ban...I just don't think this was a heinous enough crime.

However, he's been a complete asshole on this forum throughout. Surely, there aren't very many that post here regularly that like him, respect him or trust the old Dukemeister.

If I were Dukemeister, the question I'd be asking myself right now is..."why the hell would I want to keep hanging around to be a part of this group when I know damn well I'm not wanted and everyone can't stand me"?
But...then again, the Dukemeister might not even be that smart.

Therefore, my thoughts revolve around slow torture. Everything he posts is stupid anyway...so let him have it. Rake his ass over the coals and make him feel the burn. When they talk about flaming someone, the picture of Duke running down the street with his ass ablaze will be the poster picture for this term.

All those in favor say "aye"....all those in opposition say "nay"....
