My vote: no ban...I just don't think this was a heinous enough crime.

However, he's been a complete asshole on this forum throughout.

My thoughts exactly.

I voted no. IMO, it is a free world and people are free to feel and think what they want about another person. Yes, Duke was a jerk off posting on a public forum about someone who doesn't post here, thus can not defend themselves publicly. I think Duke proved real fast the type of person he is, and I know I for one I will double check if he tells me grass is green. But should he be banned...no. Duke is NOT the only person on this forum who has posted their dissatisfaction (one sided only) about other people.

And Duke, WWIW, IMO, apologizing privately is worthless when you made such a negative fuss about this guy publicly. The apology should be just as public...YOU are the one who made it our business...no one else.

However, he's been a complete asshole on this forum throughout. Surely, there aren't very many that post here regularly that like him, respect him or trust the old Dukemeister.

If I were Dukemeister, the question I'd be asking myself right now is..."why the hell would I want to keep hanging around to be a part of this group when I know damn well I'm not wanted and everyone can't stand me"?
But...then again, the Dukemeister might not even be that smart.

Therefore, my thoughts revolve around slow torture. Everything he posts is stupid anyway...so let him have it. Rake his ass over the coals and make him feel the burn. When they talk about flaming someone, the picture of Duke running down the street with his ass ablaze will be the poster picture for this term.

All those in favor say "aye"....all those in opposition say "nay"....

Aye ~ What Drivemaker said and well put!

I tried to have this thread deleted as I have left numerous messages with administrators about it, hell I even went to AZ HOUSEPRO!! if they don't take it off...well...I tried. as far as an apology, I apologized to HIM through e-mail for the hassle we had, but no...I don't like having to go through all I had to once the payment was cancelled. I just want it back, and if it was one of you guys' cues, you'd want it back also...and you know it. say what you want about me, (and I KNOW you will) but the situation is bad all the way around. don't worry guys, I'll NEVER buy or sell a cue on-line again. it's best done face to face. this internet dealing has really turned me off with the computer because of this.

Ill make you a deal I will vote NO if you go to his ebay acount and neutralise what you have done by putting a posotive and an attachment with an Im sorry on his ebay account.I am sure many others would also. Its kinda like your holding that part over his head. All you need to do is go to your original post also and deleate the first thread. Why are you holding this over him?
You admit you were wrong so you should go to ebay and do it.He is a good guy and very trustworthy. Why are you continueing to leave your false mark on his ebay account?

Duke,

I voted NO but I think you owe a good apology on Bryan on ebay and on this forum. If you could apologize in the previous thread, it wouldn't hurt to just set up a whole new thread apologizing your behavior. You were quick to judge, now be just as quick to remedy the situation.

Duke was a jerk off

For a while it was an interesting distraction, but his attitude has grown tiring.

I read his posts and find myself thinking "why don't you just grow up." I don't know his age, but he comes across like he's 13 (complete with all the angst you'd expect--and more). Personally, it's gotten boring for me.

I doubt this poll will amount to anything more than just that--a poll, but my vote was "Don't let the door hit you in the ass."

After being elimated from the A-Z Billiards & the CCB, plus fined,

That is absolutely stoopid. Do you think there is some alliance in the pool forum world  ?
Fined? get real...

Seems to me, if everyone was voted off for doing something stupid, there would be few people left.

It's over, move on.

I think the thing that galls me the most about this whole situation is Duke’s totally unrepentant, unremorseful attitude. He cannot accept responsibility for his actions. His apology – the half-assed public one, was made under duress and comes across as totally insincere.

This was indeed slander, and if his victim wished to push things, this is definitely actionable. Damages could be proved. We are taking a rather narrow view when we take into account only the effect within this forum. Don’t forget, he slandered him in a much more public place, and far more damaging, when it comes to the impact on his victim’s future business: Ebay. As he found out, once said, you can’t take it back, and no amount of mitigating statements will erase the doubt created in some bidder’s or seller’s minds as a result of Duke’s rash actions.

He has demonstrated that this is not an isolated incidence, so he obviously doesn’t have the ability to learn from past mistakes. Furthermore, when he makes a mistake he will not accept the responsibility and make it right. In this case, you can’t unring the bell. The damage is done. Someone said, “Move on”, correct, but I think we’d all be better off if we left Duke behind until he learns how to conduct himself in a public forum. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was loaded” just doesn’t cut it.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

When I first read the post in question, I wondered why AZ PRO HOUSE allowed it to remain posted.

I also wondered why the Offended Party did not allow more time for the Buyer to straighten out the PROBLEM.

I also thought the Post was totally inappropriate.

Maybe the entire incident should be put to rest, and what ever damage was done should be forgot by all except the parties to the transaction. IMO
