shoulder strap pad?

I'm looking for a shoulder strap pad for the instroke 3x7 case I bought recently cause I'm a little weary of the weight issue, and would like a little padding to help carry it. Would anyone know if they're permanently on there and have to be ordered with the case, or can you add one later? I've seen luggage pads before, but most of em' aren't what I'm looking for. My Joe Porper has a plastic one, so thank God its only a 2x4, but I want a leather one if I can find one. I'd like to have a thick cotton lining on the bottom if possible. I was carrying my 4x6 case around today and it kinda bothered my shoulder which is why I'm inquiring. Thanks for any direction or offers guys, Jeff

You might give this a try.

I also have a heavy 3x7 Instroke that I use once in a while. I bought the Domke pad and it made a huge difference. This is by far the best shoulder pad I've found.

My mother-in-law is on oxygen and has to wear her small (but heavy) Oxylite portable oxygen machine using a shoulder strap. She is small and rather fragile so I bought one for her also. She no longer complains about aching shoulders from carrying her portable oxygen machine. She still complains about everything else in the world. :D
Thanks,
Rip

Everybody needs their quota of b*tchin & moanin. Like the pad.. it lightens the load. :D Great pad Rip!

Pad

If you have to carry so much crap .

Get a case with wheels :D
good luck with the pad search-try some other photography sales places

Here's the solution

I had to do this for a Porper 4 x 8 I used to have. Go to Autozone, or some other auto place, and buy a 'seat belt pad'. It uses Velcro, is padded well, and costs $4-6. You have to adjust it to sit right on the top of your shoulder, but it sure helps, and is cheap.

thanks!

I tried my buddies instroke case which is a 3x7 also, and yes its full, so it turns out I'm gonna NEED one, cause they're heavy little buggers! lol I guess protection was the only thing I was going for originally, so I'm still glad I got it coming...THANKS for any suggestions guys, I'm gonna check into some of em' and see which one I decide to go with. Again, THANKS for the suggestions guys! I never thought of the seatbelt pads....Now thats an option!

Strapped

Go to your local Goodwill or Thrift store and check out the luggage area. I use a black nylon 2 inch strap with built in pad on my instroke that came from a duffel bag. It also prevents me from walking off with someone else's black instroke case....
