Shoutout for Sundown Donny

I contacted Donny about building me some rails less than two weeks ago. He calibrated them with rail extensions and artemis rubber and put my rail cloth on them that I sent down. Perfect diamond pockets. I measured and compared the angles and opening to the smart tables we have here in town and they're identical. Last night I finished up the project. He did exactly what he said he would, exactly when he said he would do it. With expert workmanship. How refreshing! Anyone who needs rail work I would highly recommend shipping them to Southern California for fast expert service! Thanks Donny!!

Also I applied the bed cloth installation from the Simonis DVD with very nice results. Thank Glen and Jay for that.

John, I'n glad your happy. Your setup looks nice with the castings, GC4 pockets. I look forward to the things you sent back.

Just so people know I ordered custom boxes to fit the Gold Crown rails. Shipping was around $45 from So CA to Oregon.

Hi, John. It's nice to see you've got the table squared away. Donny did great work on those rails, and you did a very nice job on the bed. It looks sweet, and I bet it plays sweet. Congrats.

Donny, great job. I would love to see the rail boxes you built for shipping rails. I've been using the factory Brunswick cartons with the dividers. I not comfortable with the protection they provide. UPS can really bang things around and cardboard is useless if it gets wet. You can email me pictures if you don't want to post in public.

Thanks
Jay

Donny does great work. He did my GC4. The table plays stellar and all the measurements on every pocket are identical to the others - very consistent.

Thanks Dave,

I got out my level this morning to recheck things after a day of settling in. You can see I have a serious problem along the foot rail in the last picture :). Dont make fun of my green pocket liners. I guess that's why I got such a good price on the 860hr, there wasn't an inch to spare. I had some green left over from my last recover and was too anxious to wait and round up another piece of blue. I only put them in the side pockets as the slate liner is recessed enough at the corners to completely hide the staples and you can't feel them reaching into the pockets. Next time you're are in town you should stop by for some cheap action. I'll play anything but one pocket and I'll play that too if you'll coach me.
