The full-splice is looking good. Turned it last weekend but since it's ebony, you gotta be careful. It's very dry here right now.

In the past I've waffled about liking bocote. I let go of an amazing merry widow by Capone in favor of a kingwood cue about 12 years ago. A smarter guy would still have both of them.
As it stands, I like the stuff. I also have figured out that I like Barnhart cues. I have 5 of them. Here's an image of the most recent acquisition. I also have a merry widow that's made from some exceptional, albeit different bocote.

I also own this Tucker wrapless merry widow. I took it for a test spin and split first/second. It's a keeper.
