if you have doubt

Probably best to call John Showman after the long weekend. While it does look like one of his cues, it would be best to hear it from him and get some history of who the cue was made for etc...

Really sweet cue. Best of luck.

Peter, bit of a guess here, but I seem to recall a picture of that cue being in a flyer I got from John back around the end of 2005....so thinking it was around then. Let us know what you find out. Sean

Peter,
Get a Magnifying glass and look at the end of the joint pin...
Also the brass inserts in the shafts should be dated,
finally remove the rubber bumper,
and the butt cap screw should aslo be engraved"
You can also contact BUSHWACKER, he posts/sells cue here on az"
Im pretty sure that
John originally built that cue for Him ;)
" 2 BEAUTIFUL CUES ,
thaks for posting the pictures

This cue and a few more Showmans were for sale on ebay approx 6 years ago
Bill / Dak21 was selling them.

Yet another beauty added to a stellar collection.

my buddy owned that cue in 2005 because we took it down florida when we met john showman... so it is at least and 2004-2005

John's work is impressive and he did a superb job once again.
As mentioned, the year John made the cue is stamped on the end of the joint pin.
Very small that at least a 3X magnification will be needed.

Glad to see you picking up these beauties.

My question is answered. You guys are the best, Thanks a lot.

Did you try to call, I get him pretty often on the phone, his wife is slow on the the return emails sometimes. I love that cue.

Paul, Wait until you play with it. You like it even better. John had his phone shut off....That is why i can not get a hold on him.

Peter

I am trying to call John myself to check on the status of my cue.

I see I am not the only one that got that his phone is disconnected.

You can PM me a number if you feel it is more appropriate.

Thanks,

Ken

That's a dandy.......Showman is on my list of top 15 cue-makers and I searched around for awhile and never could find any cues, at least not ones like this one which would fit in perfectly with my other cues.......Yup, this Showman cue is a gem........which the OP doesn't need me to confirm.........it's why he acquired this beauty.
