Si Meng Chen Video

also challenged.

I see no video of her playing on either of these pages. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

now that i watched her play
i would like to take back my offer
to play her.

She really can play better then she played on the two videos posted. She is really good but whats amazing to me is her mental game and composer at the table for someone so young. She never rushes a shot, always seems to take the right shot/route/safe. Johnnyt

Don't think that is likely to happen. During my time in China I never saw any of the top Chinese lady pros gambling.

However, if you go to Shanghai you can surely match up with the Chinese and Taiwanese men pros as often as you like. They gamble every chance they get, usually playing 2/5/8, not 9 ball or 10 ball.

2/5/8 is a game that I think originated in Taiwan but is now played in China among the pros for gambling. It is very difficult and not for "average" players.

Without explaining all the rules, the essentials are that it is a cue ball control game, not a pocketing game

You play with 4 balls on the table. Cue ball, 1 ball(yellow), 3 ball(red) and 11ball(red).

In order to score and get paid, shooter must make three consecutive shots starting from wherever the balls are lying on the table

Shot 1 - Cue ball must touch a red ball(only one) and yellow ball or yellow first and then one red.
Shot 2 - Cue ball must touch only the two red balls
Shot 3 - Cue ball must touch all three balls, in any order, but none more than once

If you do all of that the other players pay you and you continue shooting, starting over at shot 1. If you miss a shot, next player shoots starting at shot 1.

Is OK to pocket a ball. It just comes back on the foot spot.

I personally have never even attempted to play and have never seen anyone other than pros in Asia play.

Thats funny, here in Norway we have the socalled Roman people or Gypsies, playing that game on a carom table (no pockets). They play with four balls and apparently according to some rules a lot like the ones stated above.

They suck big time though, cant play at all, and I have never seen anyone else play using four balls on a carom table. Weird how Gypsies in Europe and top pros in China plays a similiar game

pooladdict:

4balls on a carom table is popular for beginners. It s easier to start with the game. but if you *meet* here a player who s a bit advanced.....don t forget to order a meal and some drinks-will almost never end:)
