Hey all, I have been working on a few different things over the holidays. Obviously I am putting the finishing touches on the Archer/Varner tour for the Midwest in February. For more info on this mini Tour see www.legendschampions.com

The next road trip that the Legends and Champions Pool Tour will be making after February will be Earl Strickland and Mike Sigel. Both of these HOFers have agreed to the tour that will take place from April 1st to April 11th and I plan on us making our way through Texas. However I have not started to book the tour yet and so if there is a demand in a different area then we will take a look at our options.
I have to get on this right away as I plan to have the guys visit the following areas. Amarillo, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Corpus Christi.

We think this will be a fun tour and imagine there will be plenty of yapping going on at each stop we make. As always with the Legends and Champions Pool Tour, there will not only be a Fun exhibition that includes trick shots, stroke shots and stories, but also a chance for local enthusiasts to take part in a four hour clinic held by both Earl and Mike.

As I have not begun to contact each of the areas we plan to visit yet I would love to hear any ideas anyone has on pool rooms you think may be a good spot to hold our events.

I guess at the end of the day all I really wanted to do by posting this is to let you all know IT'S ON! and that both Mike and Earl are looking forward to making the trip. Please keep your eyes out for more updates as we go.

OH, one more thing. I will be trying to make arrangements as much as possible to make sure that I have the guys mic ed up so we will all be able to hear every word.

Yes ! Do have the players mic'd up so you can hear the woofing !

I think this would make live stream very good too !
 
Denver was supposed to see this tour last September, but as the deadline approached I couldn't learn anything about it. Since then, the pool hall where it was to be held, has shut its doors (last I knew). So far as I know, the event never happened.

Anyone know anything?
 
Not sure where to go, but you might make a 200 game match part of the tour. i.e. they play 10-20 games or so for some cut of the total profit. People like to see players play for something which counts, but also want the instruction and joking around time.

I'm thinking each show would be 3 acts. First there is a discussion time with trick shots, stories and instruction. Then they match up for 10 - 20 racks. Finally, there is a play the player. At some locations, a seperate 4 hour 2P - 6P hands on instruction session might be first, followed by the 3 - 4 hr show from 7P.
 
Hey.... don't forget Tulsa, OK.

We'd be glad to have some Action happen around here.

Having a REAL Match happen, with only the "serious of offenders" being "blanked out" would be great.

I can only imagine a real match with the ambiance of a real match. Rail Birds, sweaters, smart asses, smoke, mony, whiskey babes, wannabees & backers all runnin' their mouths... sounds like lots of fun, fun, fun...

And perhaps someone could film some of this for future DVD sale? (That's a hint! :) )
 
thanks for pulling things together great players. we need more exposure in LOUISVILLE, KY if you or someone you know can help with that. we are the 16th largest city in us now. id really love to see tourneys and match's at the pro level here and other things too. anything i can do to help i will try my best let me know.
