I have read pages and pages about KT and Deno, where is Mike Sigel in this time of need? It seems like he was the poster boy when this all came out, I haven't seen his name in ANY of the current threads.

Am I reading wrong or has he disappeared?

I think in another thread, someone said he was practicing in his home room and that he would report if he was still showing up, but I have not heard lately...

Unlike Deno and KT, Sigel is no more than a player. A player who HAD a great amount of influence and just may have conned the Con. He is likely trying to keep a VERY low profile.

Pure speculation but at this point in time, I suspect he is persona-non-grata around the IPT.

No, Mike was not just another IPT player.

Having him out front made this whole IPT engine start. And wasn't he grandfathered in to be the default second-place finisher in the original tournament, with a large purse share guaranteed? That was a set-up from the beginning, and IMHO there was a back-room deal right from the start, which somehow gave M.S. a cut on this action. We may never know the details, since the action is cold.

Of course, now that engine is sputtering, and low on gas, and is coasting without an extended warranty; if the IPT ends up abandoned on the old slate highway, both KT and MS should pay the tow bill (in tarnished reputation, if not in money). I suspect he has realized that, and that nobody will hear from him for a long while.

Tell me why I'm wrong --

IMO you're right on every count...that first tournament where MS didn't even have to play and had 2nd locked up....come on, that told me something about the IPT right there that kept me away...

I was told that he was fishing with KT this wkend... I didn't ask how the person that told me found this out but this person has not been one to give me frivilous info in the past.

Mike didn't do too bad. He made 250K off the IPT. Funny how the gravy train folded soon after Mike got his bucks. He had no chance in an Open event.

If he sees Kevin headed his way with a big ol anchor, he may be better jumping overboard.

Im pretty surprised to hear this. Im lost on what is "really" going on i guess.

That was me.

He was at the poolroom the friday before that "Golf & Pool" bs in Miami. I didn't know about that event at the time thought maybe he was going to start practicing for Chicago........... He hasn't been seen since here where he lives.

Well, if there is no Chicago, then I guess he wouldn't be practicing for it anymore. ;) But was he there practicing or warming up for an event being held there, because I am sure he has a table at home and can practice there?

His nickname is Mike "The Mouth", not Mike "The Moron".

He took his money and hightailed it out of Dodge.;)

If he has a table at home he does not use it.

Ever since the IPT was founded and before he played the first match the IPT had a Diamond Table setup @ Pro Billiards in Orlando for him to use. He played on it only once that I know of (He hated the IPT cloth) and switched to a house table with Simonis cloth. Then he practiced 3-4 hrs everyday Until the LJJ show and then again for KOH.

When Pro Billiards closed due to ownership problems MS switched his daily practices to Clicks in N. Orlando where he practiced up until the day before Reno.

He has only showed up once (10/13) and practiced since Reno. Then the next day I found out a bunch of pool players and golfers had a tournament together in Miami 10/14-15, so that was what he was at Clicks for....not Chicago.

dat's all I know :D

Anbody that thinks MS was not in on the whole deal is a stone cold sucker. He is just as liable as any other one of the IPT flunkies!
