I do appreciate your input, and i truly wasnt trying to be confrontational, and was just very sure what it is and where it came from.
It was certainly not to prove you wrong, just didnt want misinformation for people that might have the same set and may not know where they came from

Aramith Tournament
I have the Aramith Tournament Balls & 860 HR Green but I am still getting a lot of burn marks.
Isn't that the top of the line cue ball?

Kiss, Dartman is correct. The Cents are excellent balls, not anything you can upgrade to except (according to Aramith) the Tournament set. If you are using the Blue Circle ball that came with the set, or the Aramith Pro Cup ball (the real measles ball), then you are in good shape.
Burn marks and break trails are normal over time. Good quality balls kept clean and well maintained cloth will minimize it but they will still occur. They will be more noticeable with the cheaper balls. But I've heard at impact the CB friction can create temperatures of 400 degrees - something is gonna happen to the cloth.
The marks don't affect play at all. I believe what really happens is the friction burns off the dye in the cloth, which I'm guessing is naturally a whiter color. But it doesn't really do damage to the cloth, except maybe after years and years.
I've had HR on my table for about 3 years and I have faint white marks all over the table but the guys that come over (who know pool) always remark at how good the cloth looks and ask why I never use it, LOL.
I've never seen this problem to any unreasonable extent in person with any genuine Simonis cloth. The Milliken Super Pro that our room had installed does this horribly though. Cloth plays faster than any Simonis I've ever played on (fast like glass), loosened up incredibly fast, and marks up so easily it's ridiculous. Junk in my opinion. Did you see the cloth before it was installed, order it yourself, watch it being installed, or do you completely trust with all faith the person who installed it? I would question its legitimacy if it were me.
Installed myself, cloth bought from Joe Nielsen @ Nielsen's billiards in Springfield IL (My hometown). I have known Joe for many years and trust him whole-heartedly, also why i was so sure of the kind and origin of my balls.

It's NOT the cloth, it's NOT the balls...look at ALL the white marks everywhere on the cloth...then look at the cue ball...at all the marks on the cue ball...the cue ball is rubbing off on the cloth like a big ball of white chalk. Look at the finish of the cue ball and see if you don't see a bunch of small little flat marks every where there's a dirty mark on the cue ball

Baxter, before i did the 860hr, the table i played on had standard 860, but i always used a measle ball on it.
I just bought the table in november, so this was the first cloth install and ball set.
I never thought that there would be such a big difference between the premiums and the super pros, but the proof is in the cancer all over my cloth LOL

Wish you would have gotten ahold of me. I would have liked to meet you and hit a few balls around. Next time perhaps. Do you remember which table you played on? Table 8, right in front next to the bar, is the table with the shimmed 4" pockets. Table can be a nightmare if you're not used to it.
