Has anyone tried the HR version of Simonis? I believe its only available in 860. They claim its slightly faster than the standard 860. I've had a barbox in the shop with 760 on it for years and quite pleased with the performance. I chose the 760 because thats what we used at the old Mothers room and it was durable & fast. Well to make a long story shorter...I've swapped my barbox for a 9ft and now I need to order new cloth. I want the tournament blue color & I see they have a new HR version which is suppose to be burn resistant. Not cig burns but the little white spots from breaking, jumping, where the ball lands before the rack. Anyone tried the HR yet? Happy with it? Any negs? Be nice not to have the new cloth covered with the white spots. Thank you for your time. :)

You will still get ball marks (white spots) but HR is designed to minimize them.
HR is basically 760 with a different sheer.

The guy setting my table up is trying to talk me into Miliken. I've never heard of it but he swears its the same speed as Simonis, but higher quality & cheaper. I seriously doubt it. Anyone?

Go with Simonis. It is a really good cloth. He probably does not want to mess with Simonis. It is the best, In my opinion. He would have to get a tow truck to stretch it and make Miliken as fast as Simonis.

Glen set my table up with HR and it plays a little different (faster) to me that regular 860. It seems to not mark up as much as the old 860 I had but it still shows spots. I didn't really like the way it played until I had about 40-50 hours or more maybe on the cloth after that it plays about right.

Milliken is a good quality worsted cloth made in the UK and marketed here
thru Sterling Gaming and all their little satellite web retailers.
Any worsted cloth will show ball marks. HR shows less.

How much experience do you have installing Milliken to warrant this statement?
