Simonis woes

Hi all,
So I purchased some 860 9ft Simonis cloth from Seyberts for over $500 USD including shipping.
Shout out to Seyberts for their great delivery.
There was something about the cloth which did not look right and I couldn't put my finger on it.
Anyway I started installing the rails. Installing the feather strip, trim the excess, flip the rail over and staple the cloth.
The following pics are the top of the rail showing fluff and nap.

I'm like WTF is this.
What did I do to cause this.
Did I install the cloth upside down or what.
I unstapled the rail cloth to inspect the other side and the cloth is installed correctly with the top side being the finished side.
The rail was upside down on a blanket, somehow did that do it. No not possible.
There is something wrong with this cloth was the conclusion I came to after thinking about it.

So I contact Simonis USA and forwarded the above pics.
They got back to me and requested that I send the cloth number via a black light. So I did.

Then a couple of days later I did a follow up showing the below pics of the fluff coming of the rails.

And I haven't heard anything since.
What would be really good if I was sent another replacement cloth.

Hi all,
So I really didn't want to do this again however, for the sake of proof I unstapled around 1/4 of the rail.
It's quite hard to photograph however what your looking at is the underside of the cloth.
You can see it's pretty normal for the underside of the cloth which proves the cloth was correctly installed with the playing side or smooth side up.
You should be able to expand the below images for a closer look.

I'd appreciate your thoughts

Hi there,
I've sent all pics and info to Simonis however they are not responding.

There was a known bad batch that they should be able to identify by your serial numbers your cloth was part of that run. There’s a thread about this in the Main Forum. They’ll get back with you and make it right.

Looks like old school nappy bar table cloth. simonis will make it right. i think simonis is still getting some of their new post-flood equipment worked out. this looks like it didn't get sheared.

Shine a black light in the playing surface, the bolt of cloth number will easily be visible that way, then write it down, and call Simonis and give them the number, then they can track the cloth.

I was getting no response out of Simonis so I got in touch with Seyberts. Then one of the big nobs from Simonis got in touch pretty well straight away. They have sent all photo's and cloth number off to the factory. I'll keep you updated. A big shout out to Seyberts

Update:
Simonis is going to send out a a replacement cloth.😁
UPDATE:
New replacement cloth has arrived.
I would like to thank Alfred Dinkha from Simonis USA for being great to deal with and keeping me up to date.
I had to wait until Simonis were doing a run of the colour "Slate"
The table has now been sold so I'll arrange a recloth with the new owners shortly.
I must say that this colour "Slate" is such a wicked colour.
Cheers

In the right room it looks great. Too bad I had to crop off most of the room to add the photo. It's a little dark but with good lighting it's got class. I set this one up last year.
