Simonis X1

X1

Everyone that I know who has one of the X1's is pleased as punch! I have sold many of the simonis X1's and have not had any complaints, I think the simonis X1 is da best thing since sliced bread, the chalk off or the moist 3M towels people are using is a waste of time compared to the X1! Not a good idea to add water or any liquid to pool table cloth once its been installed and played on....

Have a good day,

Just a little fill in. I started a war with a friend by sending him a 3C book The Billiards Manual a few months ago. He retalliated by giving me a complete heating system. Even right? NOT!

Well I'm practicing in the basement when the doorbell rings. Open the door there's a package. Inside is an X1. Geeeezzzzz. Now what do I do? Clean the table stupid.

That's what I do, and now the reason for the post. The X1 is only be contacting the table on its corners. Before I brought it to the rails the entire pad was white except the corners. This can't be right. Also I can see drag marks on the cloth.

Any suggestions?

Revenge on my friend answers are also welcome.

Can I be friends with him too? That should be enough revenge! :)

How about sending him a cue lathe? Get him addicted to working on his cues! (Plus, then you have him to do all the work on your cues when needed!)

Brian,

A lathe would be the ultimate revenge. He's also an engineer and it would be hard to top. But a little out of my price range. It's giving me ideas although.

What color was the corners before u used it?
I would say if you have problems with a simonis product that you got I would call your buddy and see where he got it at and contact them to see what they say, if that don't get you anywhere call simonis directly here in the states,

The pad is white when new. I would think Simonis would like to know either way. 1-800-SIMONIS. Felice is at extension 21.

Thanks for the help. The pad was white as snow when I took it out of the sealed box.
I took it to my table which I keep very clean but had been playing for about an hour so I thought there'd be enough chalk to see how it picked up and only around the corners did it turn blue. Small blue circles where the handle is probably glued to the base.

Now you made me stop typing to take a closer look. I can see daylight under the pad. Not much but still there.

I'll give Simonis a call. Doesn't seem right. But maybe for some reason its designed that way. I'll find out and let you all know.

The pad should be flat. What cloth are you using the X1 on?

Granito M....

Asked about the cloth because of the drag marks you mentioned - once done with the cleaning
you should run the X1 lightly head to foot similar to a final brushing.
You're probably best to call Ivan or Felice at Simonis (800-simonis) but if I had to speculate I'd say
either the table doesn't have much chalk dust or you need to apply a bit more pressure.

I left a message yesterday with Felice it was 4:55pm and I'm sure nobody wanted to answer the phone. Xmas Cheer Time.

We'll see what they have to say.

There is a slight radius on two opposing sides. The other 2 seem flat.

And yes Dartman there is never a lot of chalk dust on my table.

table

Are you saying your not happy with Granito cloth on your table? Just a question because I was wondering what table you own?

Ps. The people at Simonis are great,

No I think Granito is a great product. So is Simonis.
The only problem with Granito is most tables have Simonis which plays different not bad just different.

My table is my Avatar early Brunswick T Rail.

When you guys in the Quads going to get a 3C table?

Guess it's not that important to me anymore. There's a private Gabrial in Moline I play on when in town.
Still it's a shame. Used to be 2 on Kellogg.
