There's a very nice interview of Chris Bartram by Samm Diep on AZ Billiards. I missed it when it was first posted and just thought it was worth reading and you can read it by clicking here.

You have to admire some of Chris's trademarks, like never quitting winner, never air barreling anyone etc.

It seems that the Skinny Bartram doesn't get the action he used to and maybe a little advertisement about his style will help. (IF YOU WIN, YOU ALWAYS GET PAID lol) What a concept! :D

Oh yeah, when Chris passes through New Orleans, he can play for FREE at BUFFALO BILLIARDS whether he just wants to practice for a tournament or get in stroke for a match. And that is for two hours or two weeks. When he gambles, he or his opponent pays.

A little lagniappe is our FREE HANDICAPPED tournament EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT. He only has to give up the 8 ball to every player in the room. That's the easiest "nut" he will ever crack. :smash::yeah:

I knew Skinny Bartram looked familiar... It's Stan the Caddy!

Well,we do have somethings in common. I have never quit anyone winner, shot a air barrel,or even put the bite on anyone. Joey,I don't know about you, but I'm willing to try some with the last 6 on a barbox Cris claims is stealing,or i'll just take the break!

This quote was the best...

Q: Did you gamble at bowling too?

A: No. That's the reason I went to pool cause there was no action in bowling.

LOL... ill tellem...

He's one of the few young ones i've seen this day and age that likes marathons and won't quit winner. Had a well known player get me 500.00 loser a few weeks ago and quit " i was getting weight of course".Years ago no real gambler would do that. He's also right that you don't have to be in shape to play a long time, you just have to have heart! I know i had rather match up with someone like Chris where you know your not going to have to put up with any B.S. Ok Chris, its time for you to post something, you have 15 seconds before you have to bet or fold!

How about the rest of us.... here at AZ Billiards.....do we get to practice for free if passing through?

NO way!

You want to get the marketing director of Buffalo Billiards fired? You wouldn't do that to a brother would you?

A little off subject, but did you see the 8b table diagram that Larry Shwartz had on the same site .He was showing a break shot playing 8b using the 9 I believe to break out the cluster where the 8b was tied up,I think I would have got my 9 in position and played safe making my opponent try to make a legal shot therefor breaking the 8b out for me,If you look at the table give me your thoughts.I know Larry was not trying to show that option but I just wonder how you would play that. Thanks for posting the link, Joey! I've been waiting for the article to go live.

Another CHAMP needs interviewing.

I liked the questions you chose for your interview. You always do a great job but I liked this interview a lot, probably more so because Chris posts in the Main Forum on AZB and so a lot of us can relate to him.

Another GREAT interview would be with THE CHAMP

It looks like the top players who visit AZ Billiards and keep in touch with their fans are doing well! :yeah::clapping:

Great article Samm! You asked the right questions, and Chris gave some great straight-forward answers. Very good read.

Thanks for posting the link Joey.

Richard Neighbors from Ohio also.

thats one heck of a cue he plays with, it has beatiful inlay work in the butt, but Chris wanted the wrap longer and its all covered up. I played with the cue both ways and I like the way it feels now. Mr.Neighbors builds great cues and is very knowlegable aboutthe topic, he posts alot in the "Ask the cue maker forum" here, I read there alot but post very little.

I read Samm's interview with Chris today, and its nice to see a down to earth real interview, Chris was just being himself-he didnt take that oppertunity to talk shit or self promote like I might have:eek: I have no shame-sorry.

Chris was among the last of the "Roadmen" cell phones, cameras, computers ended that show permantly. You show up in the next town 80 miles away and they know more about you than you know about yourself.

But despite that Chris still manages to find lots of big action, SVB too, I think they get more big action than anyother players-between the 2 players, I dont know who gets the most thats why I mention SVB-he might get a little more. but this is about Chris he finds games and brings his game and if its god enough he gets paid.

I like his move playing golf, hell you can have a 20 handicapp and rob any golf course. Just jack the bet and let them beat themselfs-thats such a great move-assuming they dog it and alot of them do, until you run into a seasoned golf hustler then ship it and go home and re-group.

thanks to Samm for the interview and Chris too
