I'm sorry Marcus, but you remembered it wrong. I know, since I was the one who questioned if they were recuts. I also was interested enough about it to seek out Ron and discuss it with him. Calling witnesses doesn't really matter when I was the one who was asking, does it? Obviously I know Chris Grader was there. There are reasons why I am currently so interested in recuts as I'm planning on doing an article this year on a cuemaker that is doing recuts. That's another reason why I know without any hesitancy that it was I who thought they were recuts and questioned that they were veneers.

The importance of the topic is why I remember quite vividly the conversation, what WASN'T said, and how your reaction was. You drew back as if insulted by the questioning. Apparently, you were. Again, I am sorry if you thought it was some kind of insult or some kind of disagreement.

It was just a question from looking at the points. It would be no different than asking if a wrapped cue with no ring work was full-spliced or half-spliced. You gave me information on that cue. And information on cues is obviously going to be very important to me.

It is nice to be able to take part in the designing process and I know it makes the whole process much more enjoyable. Skip obviously has exceeded Lisa's expectation, which is really awesome.

You are right there wasn't a debate, Fred said it looked like recuts, you said no it's veneers, you didn't say Ron told me it's veneers you said "it's veneers" you were trying to impress us with your cue knowledge (I was very impressed). Fred then asked my opinion, I looked at the cue and said looks like recuts to me (it did), I saw Murray and knowing that he has much more cue building knowledge then all of us (mostly me) I called him over for his opinion. Then and only then did you say that Ron told you. Now if the cuemaker himself tells you something you'd be a complete idiot to think otherwise. I wasn't so impressed with your cue knowledge anymore, but I was very impressed with your listening skills and your memory to be able to recall such info. You seem to want it to be about me being stubborn and wrong and that's fine with me at times I'm both. But please lets not try to make it more then that, Murray didn't convince me of anything the fact that you came forward with the info you withheld did.

But let's just save all that noise and get back to the fact that I'm stubborn and thick headed and never claimed to be a cue expert, I hope that'll make you happy Marcus. Although around here (AZ forums) it seems all you need to be a "cue expert" is to have lots of cash and buy some cues, or pretend to own a cue website.

OK JIMBO, THAT'S THE WAY IT HAPPENED. I WAS WRONG. I WON'T BE CALLING ANYMORE PEOPLE "TO THE STAND" I AM OUT OF TIME AND PATIENCE FOR THIS DISCUSSION. I CAN ALSO BE BULLHEADED AND WE BOTH HAVE OUR OWN VERSION OF HOW THIS WENT DOWN, AND TO BE HONEST WITH YOU I COULD GIVE A DARN ANYMORE. Very nice cue. I am a big fan of Skips work and love the way his cues play. You get a lot of bang for the buck with his cues.

Thank you Richard. Yes, the pink ivory is much nicer than in the current pics. In fact, the whole cue is nicer than the pics....Lol. I can see why Skip had issues with the darkness of the cue pics. The wood is actually a very deep, rich, dark burgundy. When the light hits it just right, the grain of the wood pops out with an irridescense that is almost surreal! Everything in this cue is flawless. Crisp lines and inlays everywhere. The forearm is crazy curly!...Lol.

I have shot a few racks with it, and true to form, it feels great in the hand....although, admittedly, I am suffering from 'new cue syndrome'.....too busy thinking about the cue and not the shot! But after a few, I began to dial in a bit. I am going back out this evening to continue the 'bonding' process. :D

Will try to get better pics up as soon as possible. Sheesh, Zack! I have only had it a couple of hours!!!!! :rolleyes: LOL!!!

I guess with you a half truth is all anyone will ever get. It was YOU who started the thread on a downward spiral. Yes I started with you, but AFTER you took your sarcastic pot shots at Wilson. But if I catch you slinging the "our" when you have no association to the "our" or "we" bet your last dollar if I see it I will post to it. The difference between us, is I do have association when I say we / our, you have nada. So really he did go after the person that STARTED the BS since it was YOU. Apology to Lisa not withstanding.

As far as Marcus witnesses, those I spoke to all said the same thing. So I guess when you have 5-6 against 1, or in your case 1.5, because I see some shoelaces dangling from your a$$. I guess everyone else is wrong. As far as the last line, you seem to fit the first part of that very well.

Joe such a big head and such a small brain, My shot at Wilson was a joke about why 1 person should not be responsible for interpretation of another’s words, you see Joe there has been some censorship going on here, I'm against it because as my post pointed out swearing is one thing, but interpretation lends itself to abuse.. As far as this story goes, well now you just want to pretend again, in Joeworld you are so a part of that "in crowd" that you'll lie about hearing versions of a story that never happened. Sure you and Marcus are buddies, I love all your little inside jokes about his cues and his radios LOL boy how they made me chuckle, I just feel so bad for the rest of the lowly posters who just didn't get their meaning. I always thought it was sad that you would lie and pretty much do anything to try and protect your low life scum of a boss, but I find it even worse that you keep trying to attack Fred since all he's ever done was to defend your drunkin cheat of a boss and you for that matter and tell the truth. Traveling with a guy doesn't mean he's always on your side, some adults actually think for themselves. I keep hoping you'll grow up and let things die, but the spotlight seems more important to you then making your boss look like the scum he is. Each time you want to come after me I'll just expose him for what he is since you seem to want us to believe you guys are equal partners I guess your stupidity opens him up to the forum. After seeing the various coloring of the varities of Madagascar rosewood, I would definitely say that this appears to be the Bois de Rose variety. It is quite beautiful. I will see if I can pick up the color and grain with the next set of pics.

I'll ask one more time.. show anywhere I said I was part owner of Pool Table Magic, I guess you know all about "why let the truth slow you down", right Jim. Everytime I ask you to produce the goods, you fail to do so. So Jim, you keep lying and maybe one day, everyone will believe you.

As far as Marcus and I being friends, sure, but that has nothing to do with what was told to me. It's amazing how these other people say exactly the same thing, yet they are wrong. I guess they all don't remember it correctly. But either way, you will always show your "class" by going after someone that isn't here, ITS you who has the problem with HIM so you should call him. But of course your cowardness won't let that happen. Now he is drunken.. lol The more you talk, the more your story grows.
