I think the Phillipino people will love Sky. He shows great respect and reverence for the game. He is doing everything the right way to grow and continue towards being the next big star in the US. Please let us know any links to live streams.

This is very exciting news. I hope that Sky does well, and enjoys his trip. Very curious to find out how he does against Anton raga. I assume they will be playing even? Thanks for any future updates on news about Sky.

Lol, are all of the pool rooms there (in Manila) really that noisy on the inside (coming from noise from the outside)? I assume that is what you are talking about.

Based on my limited experience (last month), no. Robinson's in Malate is in a mall. Oneside is nearby and a walk-up in a commercial area. Star Billiards is in the middle of a barrio (and I never made it inside! - long story).


Gideon<------Didn't see any dirt floor/tin roof and wall/chicken running around rooms.
 
Very smart move!

If I were a young and talented pool player like him I could think of no better place to go to gain experience and improve my game then Pinoy Land. The place is full of good shooters who love to gamble.

A rooster crowing, bugs on the table, crowds around the table placing bets and making noise and moving around while your shooting. If you shoot through all that who is going to shark you?

Like Darrin Appleton recently stated in an article. The Pinoy shooters have a tough mental game with a realistic approach to loosing matches, games and missing shots.

It will be interesting to see if he can win 50% of his matches. No matter what, the experience should forever help his game.
 
Good for Sky he is playing some tough games with great players i am sure it can only help improve his game.

I was about to say the same thing Danimal, wonder if when asked about said pic he'll use the Chandler defence "It was dark, & in my defence she was a very pretty guy!"
 
Crowds there are great psych training for the Mosconi cup arena. Are most of the tables there that slow?
 
Thanks for posting the video. There is no way however, I could watch a whole match with that kid shooting.
