Small Pick Up

I just wanted to share this little purchase I made in the pool room the other day. At the pool room I hang out in there is a local guy who is a very good player himself. Anyway, he has a cool story because years and years ago he was roommates with Tony Ellin. They were very good friends and he would travel with Tony as well when he was able. Tony is one of my favorite players so I really enjoyed hearing some of his stories.

Anyhow, he got around to telling me that he had a new cue on order and was selling his Meucci Original J-Hook cue that he bought brand new in the 80s along with an It's George case. Additionally he said that in 1994 he was at a pool room/tournament in FL and the President of Predator approached him and said he should try one of their shafts. I think Predator may have had a booth at this event promoting their products...so he did and really liked it so this came with a first generation 314 shaft that is almost full size and looks brand new.

So - nothing major. The quality of these old Meucci cues is really great. The original shaft that comes with it is exceptional as well. Hits them great. Enjoy.

That is a nice find. Those old Meucci cues ruled the pro circuit for a reason at one time. I have several in my collection.

Nice pick ups. My dad has one of those cues
and still likes the way it plays. I cut my teeth
on a couple of Meucci's from 1986-1992. The
older Originals were my favorites then and now.

Congrats

Just picked up a MO-5 a few days ago and planned on sending out to Ryan for a refinish. I love those older Meucci cues as I first started playing with one in the early 90's.

Ok. Now I'm really missing my cue and case Matt. I haven't seen you around much lately. Did you transfer?
