I've got a cue come from Scott Gracio that's bloodwood into 5E birdseye maple...ivory, hoppe style buttcap and ivory joint. Will post pics when she comes in.
You can make a cue like that for me...any time between now and the time you quit building cues. I'd pay whatever.

I searched every known supplier & then a dozen or so less known suppliers to find the true blood red bloodwood, and bought every bit of it when I found it. Most bloodwood is kinda orange with deep hughes that give a red appearance, but not mineOnce I got all my wood in, the supplier called me right back to whine about me buying all of it because now they can not find anything that's actually red to replace their stock. The stuff they sold me was very old stock from two generations before he took over the business. He sold it all to me not knowing what a gem he had.

Hit pretty sporty too. Pings like purpleheart but threads much better.
I have dozens made for coring dowels for handles.
The cheaper ones are yellowish and do not have the same tone as the deep red ones. Not quite as stable as well. The red ones even off-grain stay straighter.
