When I was younger, New Year's Eve was all about the partying, but for me now, it's just another day. In fact, usually I fall asleep before midnight. :boring2:

So I'm browsing the billiards scene in the newspapers to see what's happening, and I come across a real-live pool NYE (New Year's Eve) party in Bellevue, Washington, with Dan Louie as the house pro. What more could you ask for, I'm thinking. I can't wait for my boyfriend to call his buddy Harry in Seattle and ask him about this place. :wink:

This New Year's Eve extravaganza looks like a genuine pool experience. Tickets are a mere 50 bucks. They actually have PRIVATE billiards rooms, as well as a beautiful snooker table. WOW!

Well, here's the 12-foot snooker table. Man, I wish me and mine were there! He loves to play all games. This looks like a player's room!

I think I recognize these tables as Fushion tables by Aramith. I wonder how they play. They can be used for other things besides pool, if memory serves me right! :embarrassed2:

Wednesday nights is ladies night, and they have a Battle of the Sexes with the Parlor "Vixens."

The Parlor "Vixens' are the venue's resident team of billiards mavenswho represent the Parlor and interact with Parlor patrons. They enlighten with pool pointers in games of 9 and 8 ball and entertain in both choreographed productions and tableside, commanding various trick shots.

These attractive, high-heeled-donning curators of the cue are mostly 20- and 30-something women. Their expert pool training might seem intimidating to some, but time spent in their company illustrates they are composed, classy, and feminine.

The Vixens hold their own with pool players of either sex, and are required to win at least 80 percent of the challenges customers bring to the tables to retain their Vixen standing.

Daytime 11am to 7pm $10 per hour
Evenings 7pm to 2am Sunday through Thursday $14 per hour
Evenings 7pm to 2am Friday and Saturday, $18 per hour

I'd hang out here if I lived in Bellevue. This is one of the classiest pool rooms I have ever read about. The rates are a little hefty, but it looks like a nice place, comfortable and safe.

I've love to hear from those who have visited this place. It made the Billiards Digest 2006 Best Pool Room of the Year! :smile:

A five million dollar pool hall is a sight to see. I leased a 15,000 square foot building for awhile and it was pretty fair sized, a third bigger is huge! I thought the table rates were pretty reasonable considering everything there. A little reading on their site leads me to believe that their real focus is getting the corporate world in there for events. Dollars to be made in the private rooms. I didn't run the numbers but just looking at the prices I would guess that an event there could easily run $150 to several times that per person and they are set up to handle large groups.

I wish them well, hard to call that pool hall a place for lowlifes and bums!
