Yeah, bust the butt cap off, because bangers and folks that don't play much that you will hustle drinks from at some local dive bar is going to know what the FCUK a butt cap is ????

It's a SP, you put a good tip on it and you're good to go. The real question is why do you need to ask folks what kind of cue to buy? You don't know?

I read that the cue factory that Fury uses (in China) is state of the art. I forget the name of the guy who posted that, but he lives in China, and I think that he was the originator of Instroke cue cases. He now makes top of the line cases under his own name, and they are very popular. Many pro's use them. Anyways, he stated that Fury cues are very high quality. Yeah, probably much higher quality then Players brand cues. Players cues hit nice though (not bad at all, in my opinion). I never tried out a Fury cue.

I always noticed that many of the low level APA players have a lot of money to spend on their new hobby (pool), so, yeah, they get the whole package, and top of the line everything.
I think a good reason to have a true sneaky is when playing in bars, against the drunks (the guys that like to play pool, while they have a few beers, or whatever, and are not really serious about the game). True sneakies are usually cheap too, so they are good to bring in dive bars. I would never try to hustle anyone. That is dangerous. It is good to not have a flashy cue though, when playing in a dive bar.

Yeah, I think this is very smart thinking. Like if you visit a pool room in any Eastern European city (like maybe Bucharest Romania), you would not want to bring in a high dollar or flashy cue. You would want a cue that does not look any better then anything that the players picked up off of the wall cue rack. I understand what you are saying. In this case, maybe try to find something used and beat up (not brand new). I understand that this suggestion is not helping the pool economy, but maybe it would be best to get a true sneaky or plain jane that is very used and beat up. I see many plain jane cues being referred to as sneaky petes (on ebay) these days.

Sounds scary. Yeah, I would not want to stand out in any bar or pool room in places like that. I would want something really very plain and beat up. A true beat up sneaky would probably be best.
Here is a really nice true sneaky (that I bet you would love), but it does have the black butt cap (that would stand out, as not being a house cue).

It does look pretty sneaky other then the black butt cap. Has no rings at the joint (just straight grain maple on maple, to blend in together). Not sure if anyone would notice the black dot on the shaft.
