sneaky

:p My opinion for all its worth 1.5 cent:D I think you should go to cue gallery and look under IRISH LOVERS thread and take a look at SLY'S CUSTOMS CUES newest sneaky its a beautiful stick. You don't see much of this guys work because he is swamped with building cues for local people. This cue is made of bloodwood with ivory shamrock and a g-10 pin. His cues don't leave his shop until it is perfect! Sly's custom work and his work ethic is a 110%. Great guy to do buisiness with. So there is my 1/2 cent worth:D So don't stop go take a look at the cue and give him a hollar he will work with you to give you what you want at a fair price!::) Thanks Jeff

Wow. That looks pretty legit. Why do you think it is a scam??
It's an imported cue that cost the guy $50 tops. That's an awful lot extra he wants for that oh so sweet extra shaft which is probably imported also. Like I said smoke and mirrors.
Now don't get me wrong I sell imported Palmers and they are very nice for what they are.
However, I would never expect or try to get someone to pay that much.

Sneaky

I just picked up a nice older American made one piece and had a local cue maker throw in a piloted 5/16-14 pin. Unbelievable cue. 4.3oz shaft, 14.9oz butt. IMHO hits as nice as my Weston, Runde or Fanelli. And alot cheaper.

Jeff...while I do not own one of Leon's cues....he is now a cuemaker I am very interested in....is extremely forthright, and very reasonable for the amount of cue you are getting. I would say this is a great recommendation. :)

sneekys

i have played with all of your choices in the original thread and don't think you would go wrong with any of them. i do have a paul mottey s/p that is wood to wood for sale. it plays almost the same as my james white did or my scruggs. willing to trade for a scruggs s/p. let me know if ya want any pictures of the mottey. thanks

I have some Darrin Hill sneekys that are on sale for $100 off at $350( they were $450) with free Shipping.

my vote is for a Josey SP

i have 2 of them a 2000 with the nice inlays at the points and another that is a 95 that has no inlays and no joint ring, it plays just the same but is a tad lighter, and great to take to the bar boxes! there has been a couple of times that the bar owner said i had to leave the cue there until i took it apart in front of him! here are pics.......just my 2 cents, but there are many cuemakers that can make that SP for you.

I can't speak for the other clues mentioned but I can for Bob Frey's work. My current player is a Bob Frey sneeky and I like it a lot. Bob builds a solid cue and it has certainly impoved my game. I would buy another in a heart beat.

Darrin Hill,Murray Tucker,Cory Barnhart all have fairly priced and great palying full splice sneaky petes.if you want to pay a higher price i would go with Bluegrass or Sugartree.
