I have 2 314s both have Sniper tips,On 1 shaft the tip is great prefer it over the Moori M I always used in the past but the other tip when you chalk it screechs very loud no matter how gentle you are plus it does not grab the cue ball as well either.Anyone know why the difference in the 2

May not be a Sniper. Did you have the Snipers installed? The 314/2 comes with Everest. Never heard of a Sniper "screech".

The hard one is probably a bad tip. My sniper is quiet and grabs better than a Moori M like your other tip.
Tiger has a new press that is giving them even more consistency now. You should see this beast. You might want to try the Everest too if you like a little softer. I've used both and actually like both. Both are quite an improvement over the Moori in my opinion.

And like you, I rate them above the current generation (III) of Moori tips as they don't glaze over as much or as quickly.

Curiouse that I see this post two weeks after switching to a sniper because I've been meaning to put a post up about it. A little different story from me because I've always used the softest tip around, Elkmaster. I think there was one that was rated a little softer but I didn't like that one.
I can't believe how consistant the sniper hits. It holds it's shape!!!!! It holds the chalk!!!!!! It feels soft but hits firm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know "feels soft but hits firm" doesn't make any sence, you just have to hit it to understand what I'm saying. I don't think I'll ever need to try another type of tip.
To answer the question of the thread. The one that is squeaking is either a bad one or they made a mistake and put the wrong kind on maybe. One week after putting the sniper on my one shaft I had one put on my other shaft and it is hitting great also.

I was thinking about trying a Sniper tip and after reading this thread i'm going to as soon as I can get one. I install my own tips and i'd like to know where's the best place to buy Sniper tips? I've seen 2 Sniper tips on ebay for $19.95 plus shipping and I don't know if that's a good deal or not.

I had the same experiences. I found that I had to reshape the Morri soft/Slow every four or five days.
I've been shooting about hour a day for over a year with the Sniper tips, and they seem to be consistent, but get harder when the leather wears down. I guess the leather gets impacted had harder. I have also had a bit of mushrooming, but nothing that would prevent me from recommending this tip.

SC Cues, I am only on my 3rd sniper tip and it's been several years now. I am averaging about a tip a year. I haven't tried the Moori III slow, but for me on a Predator shaft I thought the Moori III medium was pretty hard.

I love the Sniper tip. Started off with Moori and found like several others that I was having to pay an over abundunce of attention to them, it got to the point where I switched to Everest and never went back to Moori. I used Everest for a good time and then bought a cue that came with a Sniper tip and knew after a few weeks I had found the tip that was as close to perfect as it gets.
But what gets me to no end is when you hear people complain about it costing 20 dollars to have a Sniper tip installed on a cue. I don't think you can do anything that will make a bigger difference in your game, cue, and ball control, and you're going to complain about it costing $20.00.

I believe that is stretching it a little. If a person likes a hard tip, Moori Medium (which is hard as the standard goes) is probably one of the best they can get. I just can't, for the life of me, figure out why anyone would like a hard tip. LOL What ever trips your trigger though.
