SNL does neg skit on women's pool.

I was personally insulted by their shot selection and position play.

Ps. (and seriously this time) agreed that the macho lesbian innuendo's were insulting and making fun of sexual orientation in today's world has no more place than racial slurs did 60 years ago.

I found it pretty funny.. Did not see it as a slam on pool, it was just a spoof.. Guess I'm not so sensative. Some of the lines were really funny. I have seen much worse but personally consider this one pretty light hearted..

 
I thought there were some funny parts. Especially the way of chalking, I'm thinking the next time I go to the gin mill to play, to use that method. Maybe it will screw up my oppenents mind so much that maybe I can win one. Or from the chalk dust floating around they'll be blinded and won't be able to see their shots. I just have to remember to bring some snow goggles to keep the dust out of my eyes.
 
I dunno. I wasn't offended. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I think having the ability to laugh at yourself makes life so much more enjoyable.
 
Ok, you have to laugh at the SNL skit! It was funny people. You can't whine about the "negative connotation," bc that is was SNL does! THEY MAKE FUNNIES ABOUT THINGS. You can get bent on almost everything, hell almost every thread is the same way.
 
Just a little truth there... probably why it stings a little. What we need is more high quality men's billiards on tv. I can only watch the top females play, Allison, Karen or a couple of the young Asians. The rest are just horrible. There are a dozen guys in the local area who couldn't loose to them.

We need a beer sponsor for men's billiards. Since the APA is the only growing market and we all know they are a bunch of alcoholics (next skit idea).

Still the ratings have shown that more people tune in to watch the women than the men, regardless of the level of play.

If you really want to watch high level pool, get some Accu-Stats DVD's. Watch'm and then sell'm. Wont cost you hardly anything.
 
I thought it was pretty funny, especially the second girls chalking routine. Its SNL, this is what they do...comedy (sometimes good often bad). I mean the Presidents of the United States gets made fun of, I think we should be able to take one and chuckle.
