Snooker Mechanic in SOCAL

Dear all snooker enthusiasts,

I am new here. I am so glad and excited that I have found and joined this snooker forum specially for US and Canada snooker enthusiasts. I am even more excited that I will be able to contribute and get more information about snooker.:)

Recently, I have purchased a used Riley snooker table from UK. The seller is in the middle of reconditioning the table before it ships.
I was told the recondition process will take about 7-10 days and the shipping time is about 20 days from UK to Los Angeles, CA.

I am wondering is there any snooker mechanics in Socal who has previous experienced in installing the Riley snooker tables?

Many thanks, :D

Perhaps call up to Hard Times and see if they have someone particular for their snooker tables. I know Ernesto and Oscar do some work on the pool tables.

Welcome to the forums. I had a rough time with a generic pool table mechanic.... Matt Carter (mcarter@sterling-gaming.com) is the official importer of Strachan baize and has a list of certified mechanics for most areas (just nobody in Houston) Shoot him an email and I'm sure he'll hook you up!

Not sure how far you are for LA, but come by for the national championships on the fourth of July!

Find any info about U.S. national tournaments here:

"The United States Snooker Association has announced that the 2010 United States National Snooker Championship will be staged at the Embassy Billiards Club in San Gabriel, California, from Friday, July 2 until Sunday, July 4. "

Embassy Billiards has more snooker tables than any other site I've found in the U.S.:

California has more snooker tables than any other state:
