Blue,
Although we are currently out of them, we do have one wrap less model. It is the 108 that was mentioned, curly maple front and back with a cocobola handle. We have more in the works, but it will be a few weeks yet. I should even have some with a phenolic joint collar instead of the steel.
As far as using the Break Cue as a player, you can certainly do that. A couple of things to remember though is that the weight of the break shaft is a little heavier than the play shafts, so you will need to add more weight. Adding the weight will move the balance a little too far back for my liking. We can just sell you a break cue with either the OB-1 or OB-2 for the same price. I would even weight it up for you if you like.
Chuck is right, the playing cues are made by Joss and the break cues have been made by Carolina Cues. However, we are in the process of bringing the break cues in house so, within a couple of weeks, they will be made in our shop in Plano, TX.
Stay tuned for a rubber grip model of the break cue! Our rubber grip will be a little different. Not only will it be extremely "Grippy", but it will also be easily replaced when it gets worn or damaged. Most of the other already out there are difficult or impossible to repair or replace.
Thanks guys! I hope that information helps!
