Looking to hear some opinions on what people thought of the DVD?

Rodney and I had a good time making it. We are considering next year doing another one possibly if its worthwhile before he retires from regular professional play. Let's hear your thoughts from those who have purchased it and what they would like to see in a second one.

If you want a copy of the DVD or digital download you can go here.

Lenny, I'd buy a second one in a heartbeat...the best pool video in my home.

Lenny you gave me one a week ago or so and I promised a review, but I am crazy busy. I will watch this video in the next few days and give AZ my opinion. I did watch a few minutes of it and I can't wait to view the rest. Your skills with a camera and the Rockets natural charm are sure to shine through. I have not forgotten just trying to prioritize.

If I had a suggestion for the 2nd video,,,,, probably do a lot more of the on table run outs!

This has been the first video I've seen where the player gives an in depth view on what's going on in his head!

One more thing that I always find intriguing, have talk about shots that gave/give him a hard time or ones(if he remembers) that took him a long time to get right!

Other than that, I can't thank both you (Lenny) and the Rocket enough for what you've already done!

Anybody who hasn't seen this video and is truly looking to progress in the game, GET THIS VIDEO!!!

Eli

Content was both entertaining and informative.

From a technical standpoint the audio would have benefited greatly from Rodney wearing a clip on mic. Don't think that's a very expensive or tricky upgrade for a much improved product. The background noise of the table should be just that, in the background. Which it is not and that is mildly annoying. His voice is also echoish much of the time. Minor criticisms. I could watch him play and talk about what he's doing all day.

I have to say that I didn't learn anything new from the DVD, everything from the DVD is already on AZ forums.

You need to keep in mind that roughly 2/3 of people are visual learners. When it comes to playing pool, like other physical acts, visual learning holds even more importance. Most people will absorb the information in the DVD better than they would as words on the page. So you might spend a lot of time picking up various tidbits of information from the forum over time or by searching the forum archives, but chances are you will learn better by absorbing that info packaged neatly on visual media.

hello Lenny and Rocket.

I have watched the rocket play for yrs. In Hawaii ,and in the US. Just love the way he thinks and runs out. Should bè a great video!

Very informative, fun and interesting DVD. I would definitely recommend buying it, its great :)

Rodney is a really cool person and his charismatic character makes the film just that much better.

I agree and take blame for that. The room had a good deal of echo. Noted for the next instructional. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise. :)

Sorry to hear this. Its nearly 3 hours long so I figured anyone and everyone could find something in it. Hopefully you got some entertainment from the road stories and Q&A.

This is true and most people are not on the forums like we are getting all this free information. We are the fortunate few.

I really enjoyed the DVD and thanks Rodney and Lenny.

I was disappointed that Rodney did not explain how the pro sees the shot line and sets his body to perform the shot.
A lot more of the fundamentals should have been covered (what he sees and how he sets his body to the shot line)
This DVD is targeted toward the more advanced player and not the new player.
The fundamentals are the key to this game. It would have been nice for him to explain that.

You asked, so I commented.

Thanks for all that you do. :)

We will have to cover that perhaps in another DVD in the future. I do appreciate the feedback. We crammed in as much as we could in the nearly 3 hours but with pool there is always something more to show and learn.
