I spent some time with Marcus from Authur Cue. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of getting to know the man behind the cues, he's a great guy. We shared a lot of laughs and I offered to shoot a few of his cues for him. He was sharing a booth with Keith Walton who in my opinion is one of the greatest gentlemen in the cue game. Unfortunately all the good company in the booth did absolutely nothing for the poor lighting at the show. There were several different temps of lighting and I was having no luck trying to reduce the glare enough to show any detail in the cues. Fortunately, John Barton had built an enclosed booth that all but eliminated the direct light from above and he was gracious enough to allow me to use his space to shoot a few shots.
Here are a few photos of the set I did for Marcus and a bunch I did for JB.
I will start another thread for the rest of the photos I took of all the cues and people when I get a few minutes to go through all of them.
Let me know what you guys think. Sorry they photos are not fantastic but considering all I had was my backup camera and one on camera speedlight I think they came out ok.
