CSI...whoever.........bla bla bla bla friggin' bla
GET YOUR STREAM RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back in the early days of UFC when the PPV went over the time the patrons were paid back.
If you don't do something PPV will die a quick death in the pool world
NOT seeing the finals or having a choppy event or whatever is UNACCEPTABLE for paying customers. The time for "working it out" is over when you start charging $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Wise up!
#boughtlotsofpoolppv's

Example # 1 !!!!!
Miss over half the match, they shouldnt charge for this nonsense. Wont be paying for their streaming again.

Charge $$$$$?????
No excuse. You suck!

They are charging to much to watch ppv its not worth the money to
watch it .

IF they would charge less possibly i would watch if the streaming
is ok. I watched the World Nine Ball in Qtar and it was free

Ppv

CSI had nothing to go with the streaming of the 14.1 event.

Just getting the facts straight.

If there are not enough sponsors to have a free stream by now (streaming pool for at least 9 years)then there will never be. It's a lot easier to have a PPV then going out and beating the bushes for sponsors...but PPV is getting real old for most. Johnnyt

had to watch u tube

The stineway stream was unwatchable for me. Had company over, set up the video projector for the seven foot screen, the video was so choppy it would buffer then jump forward several times a shot while the audio would sometimes keep working. Will not buy again unless some type of refund policy for unwatchable product is stated ahead of time. We had to watch utube instead and should have bet the 15 day pass money on a thousand to one bet, better use of money, Glad I did not get the event pass before checking the stream quality. A REFUND SHOULD BE OFFERED FOR UNWATCHABLE PRODUCT OR AT LEAST A CREDIT TOWARD FUTURE STREAM. This was the stream from stineway right before the 14.1. Would have watched the 14.1 if the earlier stream worked at least good enough to watch,

Correct. But the final for the 8 ball invitational did cut out.

Well said. Better than me.
Was a little too worked (beer'd) up last night.
But really, it's probably hard to sell PPV's in the first place. So when people do decide to pay, you have to deliver a quality product. A complete product.
If there are issues they should take action and make it right with the customer.

Well if you could tell us who did the stream please? I'd like to know who to contact to get a refund. Maybe I'll just file a dispute with Paypal.

I paid for the CSI event a few weeks ago and didn't get an (access content) link so I had to pay for it twice to watch it once. I posted on here about it (as did quite a few others) I also sent Mark and other CSI staff emails about it an have never been contacted back.
I greatly appreciate what Mark does for our sport & will continue to support CSI but when a paid customer sends you emails a reply is a must.

I don't want any PPV money.

Technically speaking nobody is competent enough to even do a pay per view let alone the business model is garbage. FYI I was banned from the LSN group on facebook because my vocal anti stance against doing PPVs and I am the hardest working streamer in the business.

Since last November I have produced over 120 shows many of which were multiple days. I have over 32k unique viewers since the same time provable.

I know I'm a hypocrite I produced or attempted to produce one of the first PPVS on Ustream ever years ago. They ****ed it up, I didn't even want to do the PPV in the first place.

Yes!

Has anybody ever tried doing a TV PPV? (no internet streaming issues)
I'm sure it would cost a little more but the quality would be 100% better.

Also with the current PPV set up, does any more money get added to the purse reflected by the number of "buys"?

A little harsh maybe, but basically right....

I can totally understand, that people were annoyed by the recent ppv event. I bought the last couple of days and spend 50$ in total. Even for a top-notch ppv event, this is serious money as I find. Was it worth it? I really can't say....

I am a very experienced pool stream watcher. from 9 ball wpc sopcast tv signals from Manila 10 years ago, over TAR, AZB, Povpool, BigTruck stuff etc. up to latest kozoom's benchmark performance in Quatar. The Andy Cloth 14.1 World Tournament reigns among the better streams. In light of the much improved streaming quality in the very recent years though, the World Tournament was not up to my expectations!

It is hard for me to point fingers here, coz I dont know what exactly caused the stream interruptions. Was it the service provider, the line, the local technicians or whoever. And honestly, I dont care. I expect from the organizers to take care of it all. I am just a customer who wants an HD pool stream without interruptions and decent commentary. I dont need fancy cam angles, slow motion, telestrator and what not.

Apart from the interruptions and that I therefore completely missed the end of svb vs immonen I truly missed the chat room to get latest information. Especially, since the brackets were not updated in time... Furthermore, I was convinced that the aspect ratio of the stream was out of stretch. Never had that with any other stream....but Al told me he checked and it was fine on they're end.

Anyway, I will surely buy the next stream coz I am a real pool nut. I am convinced they will do a better job next time. They know what they did wrong und can do better. So let's give them a chance to improve....

Pay Per View Pool???

Are you kidding? Free stream is the only "SAFE" investment of your Time & Money!

The fly by nite streamers are taking your dough and doin the disappearing act. You know who they are so where are they now? To be honest I did watch a PPV recently out of some room in Nashville and it ran flawless for the entire event and was very reasonably priced. That company which I will not disclose here is very professional.
Good luck with the others cause they are truly a joke!:thumbup:

steinway classic

I paid $15 for the last day of the Steinway classic which was on Sunday not happy at all the race to 13 between Hatch and Kiamco was 11 a piece and than it cut out for the last 2 games also in some matches it was going fast forward never again.

I am a big supporter of pool and have been purchasing the majority of PPV streams for the last 5 years or so.
I don't think there has been one time that there hasn't been a problem/issue with the stream, no matter who's streamin. I've had it. The internet technology is poor and hasn't improved in 5 years. Europe and Asia has much better internet technology.
Customer service is bad or non existent.
I probably won't be purchasing future PPV's unless i get a satisfaction money back guaranty or a credit for a future stream. Enough's enough. Nuff said.

Like Mark Griffin said, Just setting the facts straight.

1. Internet in the U.S has improved considerably in the last year. The upgrade is on request though. Not automatic.
2. We (PoolActionTV) have provided a 100% trouble free PPV in over 95% of our PPV's since 2010

I can say that 9 out of 10 times the issue is my fault in one way or another. Ocassionally it's the internet on one end or the other. We have HelpDesk available on all of our streams to assist with connection and internet issues regardless of who's end it's on.

We also issue refunds anytime one is requested and often times before it's requested. (known issues etc.)

Viewers should be able to watch trouble free or get a refund. Period. The PPV provider that we use does not charge us one cent unless you watch and then it's only based on how much you watch.

I'm very sorry that there were issues with the 14.1 stream from AZBTV, but I'm sure they will make it right if you send them an email and request it.
