Soft cases

Silver Fox and the guy who makes those beautiful leather cases and displays them with Mike at Omega Billiards.

agree with the silver fox suggestion. I had one, and liked it very much. I was able to load it up without it being too heavy. It had 2 nice big pouches with more than enough room for everything. It also offered very good protection for a soft case. Very good case, and not too expensive either.

I have a silver fox case i'd be willing to sell if you are interested. It's only 6 weeks or so old.

I just ordered a 3x5 soft case that is sold by J&J. Should arrive in a few days. I can let you know how nice it is when it arrives. http://www.jjcue.com/images/C35A.JPG does have spring loaded bottoms for the butts.

I have had this case. I would not call this a soft case. It has hard plastic compartments for the butt and shafts.

I like the design of this case. The only thing is that the springs apply constant upward pressure, so the butt of the cue is always pressing against the flap and also the latch.

The only thing that I did not care for is the fact that it is a flap over the butt section which leaves an opening at the sides where the joint/pin of the cue is. Moisture, etc can get in.

I really like the overall design of the case. I would love it if there was a higher quality leather version with a full cap style lid to completely cover the butt compartment.

So... who is "that guy"??

There use to be a company in Los Angeles, American Vinal Products that made GREAT Soft Cases. Jay H. may know if they are still around.

They are long gone. Nice cases though. I have one that I use sometimes.. but it has some autographs in it... Massey, Bustamonte, Efren, Grady. Not for sale.

JB and Sterling have some nice soft cases. Silver Fox makes a nice case.

Who sells decent soft cases, 3X5?

We do. The New Sterling Soft Cases I designed are pretty sporty. I did some modifications to the interiors so that the cues are all fully separated and can't touch while the case is closed and yet the cues are easy to put in the case and easy to remove.

Here is a link to the gallery: Sterling Soft and Semi-Hard Cases
