Hellfish sent me 2 Elk Master Milk Duds a couple of weeks ago. I like them very much as hellfish says.Holds calk well has not mushroomed as yet and pretty easy to shape. The best is that you get alot of english with the softer tip. So for it has held it's shape. Thanks hellfish for the tips.

Thanks for the review Dennis. I still have a few left if anyone is interested, Kevin has first dibs, PM if interested in a sample tip. Let me know anyway.

Everyone is saying Elkmaster, and I agree. However, if you want a good soft tip that DOESN'T mushroom, try an Everest. They're slightly firmer, but still soft and really grip the cueball well. Sniper is too firm. I tried those and mis-cued every 10th shot.

Another thought to consider is that the glassy nature of the tip could be comming from the polish that the house uses to clean the balls- I've seen it happen before!

I am looking for a soft or possibly medium tip that really holds chalk well. I have had some medium tips that glaze over very fast and then find myself miscueing. I hate having to work over the tip prior to everytime I play.

Help me find the brand of tip that holds the chalk best.

Thanks

I find myself in the same boat as Kevin....

Would like to see more input on medium and soft tips that hold chalk well and do not require constant maintenance.....also, would love to hear back from those of you that posted new tips back in December and see how they worked out for you...

Thanks,

Jason

I used to use nothing but moori's but now i switched to kamui tips , cause no matter what it was a med. Or soft i miscued and it mushroomed, now i play with a kamui soft on my sneaky and a kamui medium soft on my playing cue , tey kamui 's you wont be disappointed ...<<<ed

The Kamui Soft tip is by far the best tip I have ever used. It holds chalk great and gives me the hit I want.

Put one on I guarntee you will like it. These tips last a long time also.

I agree. I'm stunned at how long the Kamui soft has lasted for me. I lightly scrub it with a dime shaper every 4-6 days and it's been a year since I've had it installed. I could still use mine another year maybe.

Tiger Tips

I was using Moori S and really liked it.

Now I have switch to Everest and love it.

Buy American.

I really like my everest. I had moori medium for a while and noticed I was miscueing a lot. Everest is top notch in my books, would highly recommend.

OK, I tried a Talisman, it brings the suck, so BTT....

Pooldawg8 was very generous, sent me two tips to try, but my shaft is just under 12mm and they were too big.....tip on my other cue, which is much larger, is wearing out so still looking forward to trying them...

So, thinking to go with the Kamui soft, do I need to specify that it be about 11.5mm????

Any help appreciated, never thought finding a tip would be so frustrating

Just have the cue maker cut em down to like 4 layers.

The tips he sent were shaped and soaked....we looked at that, my friend and a couple of others agreed, it would kill the integrity of the tip and mushroom like crazy....
