Sold my cue, got a cue with a screw on tip...question

Its the latest new thing, screw on tips. You can remove the tip and use it as a jump break cue as well. Three cues in one. :D

In California, how many people does it take to screw on a tip?

None, In California, they screw in hot tubs.

Whats the difference in a screw on pool cue tip and a pregnant women?
You can unscrew a pool cue tip.

The old original palmers had screw on tips
every good player in the world had one at one time
unless of course i am wrong

Screwin' with the tip...

Don't worry about that tip...as long as you've got your pool shoes on you'll be playin' top notch! :p

never heard of someone getting screwed on tips ..

but I have heard of a lot of people getting screwed on chalk.. to the tune of $25 a cube LOL

All of you folks have been sold on the hype of buying custom cues for far too much money.

You screw together your two piece cue and try to make it hit like a one piece cue. Then some cue sales person will convince you that you need the two piece cue and a leather purse to carry it in.

If you screw your cue together, why not create a tip that can be tightened with a wrench and it would be as tight as any two piece cue. Change tips as needed.

I want to give this screw on tip a try. will it work on any cue?
where can I find them. thanks, john

I once played regularly with a solid B player who used a cue with a screw-on tip. He would occasionally put packages together with that thing, "tink, tink, tink, tink, rack 'em, CRACK, tink, tink, tink, etc." The guy had plenty of money and was teased to no end, but he refused to change cues.

Pretty much anywhere, but make sure you get the new uni-loc screw-on tip system. Lower tolerances and takes 70% less time to replace the tip.
