Something I found out about most Phenolic used for cues...

I was trying to avoid this...I tried to just let people what I found out about phenolic , which is new to me, the information.
then I tell everyone this is just what I learned....
then I am attacked.

it is nice to try to share info.....however as you can see sometimes it is best to just let people ask you instead of posting your findings....there is allways someone who thinks they know more or maybe they do....it was nice to try to share and help but offering info to people sometimes backfires....your post are nice and normally things work out with a thank you and great post.....try to just let it roll off your back....you just wasted three hours of creativity when you could of been working on something productive for yourself....anyway no worries sometimes it just isnt worth it...

this wasn't right for me to say what I breifely said.....about joeyincali

You should know that filipinos have a hard time translating things into english....
I know cause I speak about 6 different languages.......
english being my second laguage....

tagalog ... forth
morro .... fifth
kapangpangan ... 6th

but i hope you can pick out the good phenolic from the pics.
cause I think you know nothing.

Why is it you europeans always speak so many languages?lol

Attacked ? That's not how I see it. Rather I see people asking for additional information or clarification on the subject that you started. Those asking seem to have some understanding of what the International Standards Organization is all about, whereas the OP suggests a lack of understanding (to those with some understanding). Rather than getting defensive perhaps additional research would have been a better approach. I know I searched several times for ISO standards as they may apply to phenolic-based materials ... and was not successful, so I asked for clarification.

Well done ! I feel a bit stupid for not having searched the ISO site :o My more general searches turned up other standards (MIL specs etc).

It looks like this one is the standard being discussed :

ISO 10082:1999 Plastics -- Phenolic resins -- Classification and test methods

Now we need someone to buy the standard and review the classifications, then tell us what the differences are and how they may apply to cues.

Well you haven't read my pms or email. But I keep trying to say that that's what was told to me. They test each part and they they grade the percentage of what meets the iso standard is then they call the piece iso graded whatever percentage is to standard

This is what I'm trying to do. Instead of trying to figure the terminology people should be focusing on the phenolic resin that I am trying to inform people on. And I am trying to show how it would apply to cues. But again who wants to listen to a new guy right? I mean every one who ever thought of something or done something was famouse already. I mean who ever heard of someone new coming out with a good idea...... I mean wow I went through buying alot of different types of phenolic and research about each one, and got pictures, and even researched the transfer of energy through then and how the vibrations are affected by them. I mean, I guess for someone to go through all this trouble and no one even wants to give the information a chance..... I'm speachless

How do know what phenolic to focus on ? The trouble is that without proper and accepted terminology you cannot communicate your specifications to your supplier. I would assume that all reasonable cuemakers will want to use the best material, and only with the proper terminology can you place proper orders. This is the SOLE reason folks like myself have been asking for clarification and specifics. Your suggestion that the specifications can be communicated as an ISO percentage does not hold up to scrutiny so you were asked for specifics ... specifics that others are digging up for you. You should thank underclocked.

Royce,

Where does the "white diamond" fall in the spread?

Bell,

I'm not sure what your question is, or if you are asking it to me. Help me out if you are asking it to me and give me a little more info. I will try to answer to the best of my ability.
