Something interesting on eBay

I know that this may be the wrong place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone knew why this cue would bid up to $47,000
Thanks,
Greg

There's 81732652938756 possibilities as to what happened there. I will, however, guarantee you that "the happy winning bidder promptly PayPaled the happy seller his $47K and the seller is getting ready to ship the cue" is NOT one of them.

Thanks

Maybe the buyer was just confused and thought the auction was in Belgium Francs (BEF)......:scratchhead:

I watched this auction, if this is the one for the Rambow cue,

anyway, if u looked at the bidding, I would bet that the increase was up to, $4,799 and not to $47,000.
I have never seen a $4,000 bid and then the next bidder puts in a $50,000 bid, there is no reason, you could put in $10,000 and then if it was increased by the other bidder, you put in $20,000 and so on.

That is what I think happened, the system messed up with the decimal point.

I looked at the bidding. it went from $4,7xx to $45,xxx . No logic here. Maybe when it went to 45,xxx everyone saw the mistake and just decided to run with it and have some fun. After all, the bidding had been spoiled. Regardless, nobody is ever going to see cash on this deal.

Also, now the cue was re-listed, and now the cue has been pulled

out of the e-bay system. So, the numbers were messed up.

That's just crazy stuff. Who are these E***L and E***U characters? They seem to be bidding up this listing and it seems a bit fishy to me.

Me thinks something stinks here!

Hmm interesting...new listing for same thing with E***U putting in the first bid. Either the system screwed up and this guy wants first shot or it's a listing to report.
