What i said may have been a little rushed and judgemental, but still, im just going by what i have read. You are right though, i take back what i said and will make no more remarks on the subject since he seems to be turned around.

I think that everyone deserves a second chance. He will probably mess it up, but lets wait and see. His pool knowledge doesnt give him the right to insult people, but believe me I would rather be called out by someone that knows something about pool than most of the pretenders on here. JMO

I think you will find that there are many who actually will "applaud" the apology. I am one of them. Well written, seemed very sincere to me.

I believe that many forum members begin here with no clear idea of exactly how far-reaching the forum is. They feel very anonymous, and often post aggressively and impolitely - things they would most likely not do around their friends or colleagues. As many come to realize that this is, in general, a very serious forum for the core users; they may change their thinking.

Kudo's to Jamie for manning up, glad to have him back. Time will tell if he is going to be a serious member/contributor.

But I understand the temptations of youthful exuberance and the tendency to act cheekily / rudely when new to forums.

But when one recognizes the value of forums, they must adapt to a more convivial way to exercise their humorous or antagonistic intentions.

So good luck to Jaimee. He's re-starting with a handicap.

I can recall my first exposure to AZB - the very first internet forum of any kind in which I participated. I strongly considered just posting insults and inflammatory garbage - it looked like a bit of fun, and I knew not a soul on the forum.

I am VERY glad I decided to follow sjm's lead and try for politeness and reasonable discourse. As I now have met many tremendously knowledgeable AZB'ers and consider them friends, I would have missed a great deal had I done otherwise.
