South West cue??

They made sneaky petes. I've had one in my hands and heard of a couple more from people who know what they are talking about. They havent made many.

I would love to see a picture of one. I gwaggled Southwest sneaky pete and did not see one. If you could direct me to a picture I would be appreciative. If they indeed made one I will certainly put it on my prayer list of cues that I would like to own. :)

You seem to think this is all about instances in which you stated 'facts' that turned out to be 'wrong'. It's not. It never was. I mean, it was for about 10 mins. because you made it about that. But rest assured, it has nothing to do with your 'facts'.

You being 'wrong' is less about facts/details/opinions and more about how you handle situations. Specifically, ANYONE saying ANYTHING that may possibly be interpreted OR misinterpreted as an opposing view. You kinda fly off the handle. You get aggravated become infantile. You become defensive as hell. You simply cannot stand someone else having an opposing view OR possibly undermining your "authority". It's laughable really because it shows how petty and immature you are/can be. It happened with the Black Boar thread. It happened virtually simultaneously with another thread that had since been locked/removed... largely because you flew off the handle. And it happened here. You thought Chop was saying 'You are wrong Tim'. You seemed to take great offense to someone else saying ANYTHING after you put your "final word" stamp in a thread thread. That is... unless they say "If skins says it, you can bet it's true! He's an expert!"

In Chop's situation, the fact is I was talking about COA's for CUES not ALL collectibles...Chop started going off the OP's topic of authenticating a SW sneaky and brought up COA's in general and at the end of his reply deemed ALL COA's to eventually "not worth a hill of beans' to put it into my terms"...

THAT is what he was "wrong" about....For collectible cues, which is a relatively small niche narket, a "true" COA will be an invaluble peice to HELP authenticate in the future because most makers dont offer one. SW COA's are very specifc in their creation. Can you get the paper, sure. Can you copy their wording, yes. Can you copy their fonts, you can come close. Can you copy their logo, yes. Sure you can try and copy a SW COA but as I've mentioned, the collectable cue market is very small and and any attempt to do so will quickly be thrawted by current AND future "experts" that KNOW what to look for and there ARE and WILL be those experts available in the foreseeable future.

Now, to address your statemant "mia", sometimes I do "fly off the handle". But for good reason. I respond the way I do because of internet wannabe's, that have no in depth knowledge of an industry I've spent close to 40 years nurturing, "sharing" bogus opinion and passing it off as fact. If you say something, and I know it's wrong, I'm going to tell you. If you want to fight about it, put your gloves on. I'm not going to back down because I can back up whatever I say with fact which I do to protect the integrity of a field I'm so deeply invested in. And I don't mean monetarily. If there is anything YOU have been involved in for decades, are highly trained to do, have extensive knowledge about, and work at daily, I'm sure you'd do the same. What I said in the Black Boar thread was FACT buddy. ALL FACT. There wasnt one hole in anything I said. The funny part is I don't even remember what it was about but I don't have to. I know what I say when I say it. I don't say it unless I can back it up. YOU obviously DO get it because you can't come up with any "bullets" to fire at me. I made a sneaky once that had SW pacifier style rings on it and a big ol' brass pin. Flatfaced phenolic joint too. ;)
Wish I still had it.

I would love to see pics of a genuine Kers or SW sneaky though.

Bro... no WAY I'm reading all of that. My guess is it's filled with "words" that have needless "quotation" marks and lots of "CAPS" to express how "SERIOUS" you are. And how "RIGHT" you are. Because that's what "THIS" is ABOUT to you. BEING THE SMARTEST. Being "right". Being perceived as "a big deal".

To the OP's question, it is my understanding that SW made a few sneakies. I have never had one or seen one. The best thing going for anyone who has a doubt is that Laurie Franklin and her amazing record keeping is still around. Want to buy the cue? Have it sent to Laurie. She will verify whether it is real or not.

COA's....they can be very important. They can also be faked, as can cues. Do your due diligence always, but especially with older cues. It has been said that there are twice the number of "authentic" Balabushka cues than George ever made. I don't know that all that is true, but I know that if a dollar can be made, someone will try to fake it.

The words "I'm an expert" never came out of my mouth, nor have I ever stated anything as such EVER... THAT'S my point. It's yours and others assumptions with the same disease because they can't handle the comments and info I share here on this forum... Well we all know that old joke about assuming now don't we. Fit's perfectly in yours and others situations.

Neophytes like yourself have to make up scenarios that have no basis in fact to make an argument. Which is what YOU did. Just because you have nothing of substance to offer these forums doesn't give you the right to pass ill judgment on someone because you don't like what they write and THEN make assumptions about how they perceive themselves.
