South West Cues: Question for owners that play with one daily

Yes, 13mm with the Original Southwest taper, which is a stiff shaft. However, that is my preference in a cue and I ordered it that way.
Laurie asked me what taper I wanted, did I want Jerry's taper, pro taper, etc. Not knowing any better I ordered Jerry's taper which was a HUGE mistake. It was a CONICAL taper! I had to have the shafts redone by someone else because I couldn't play with them like that. The second one I ordered I ordered pro taper, I think with 13 mm. This was when Jerry was still alive. I never had the shafts changed on that one and played with it daily for several years before I sold it to cover a mortgage payment.
I always played the original shafts ,whether they were 13 or not I didn't care

SW has a magnificent taper, you wouldn’t see so many top players using them over the years if that wasn’t the case. It doesn’t matter if they’re 13.25 or 12.25, as long as they did it it will play good. The shafts are the biggest knock to their cues, if someone else turns them down or changes the taper, your cue just took a spin in the toilet for resale

Mine is an early SW, I used to, but I shoot with sub 12.5 mm, 11.75-12.4 depending on shaft as my revo is primary playing shaft now.
My SW and Dave Kikel I don't shoot with them much anymore. The SW Sits in a glass case on my desk tbh. Once you switch to LD, all depends on preference.
