Southern Classic -- Who's Going?

Hey, Doc, are you talking about Paula Deen's buffet? If so, is it pretty decent?

It seemed to be the only one that I might go for, upon doin a quick search of the casino grub spots.

Anyone know if there are any affordable restaurants that are off-site, but still close? With my budget, I'll have to hit some fast food joints here and there durin' the course of the 10 days.

I heard she's on a diet now. We might get the best salad buffet ever.

Looking forward to go. I am taking 8 or 9 cues with me. I will be at the Don Sureman's booth

It's gonna be a good time guys. I'll be there for the last six days, this is my first real tournament to go to. I'll definitely be on the sidelines sweating the matches.

Finishing up packing and headed out tomorrow... Should be a great event.. Nice thing bout Tunica is they actually let you stock the fridge in the rooms... None of the touch it you bought it crap like at the Horseshoe LOL...
Being there 12 days would break the bank eating every meal in the food court or at the buffet!!!

Joey that absolutely won't work for me. I will be finishing up the Ten Ball at that time, the most important matches. My free time will be at the beginning of the event, like the 21st, 22nd or 23rd. I thought you were planning to come for the whole event??

You come early and you've got a game. If not I won't make any promises.

OK, Jay, I will change my dates for visiting.

How about Saturday July 21st? $500, race to 4, even-up one pocket.

No plans for the whole event. I am getting tired of going away from home for 9 days at a time.

I understand about the working. No problem.

If I can make it for the 21, 22nd or 23rd I will let you know in this thread. And all that "you're the favorite" crap......just save it. You've got the best players in the world playing pool on YOUR home table. You're getting schooled left and right from the best players in the world. Save that s**t, puleeeeeze!

Yes, they're playing pool and I'm watching. How that makes me play better I'm not sure. When Shane and Dennis are here, I don't hit a ball! :o

Joey and Jay are going to play??? The world is certain to end in 2012, we are all doomed.

The Cajun Calendar says July 28th is a good day for everyone.

Oh and a couple of other things, Jay.....NO COACHING, NO TALKING & NO SHARKING. I'm sure you expect the same from me as well.

I'm sure you telling the truth as you always do but you can't say that watching them doesn't help your pool game.:)

Do they have a fridge in the room that we can use? Last year me and my crew ( SD and Marge) brought coolers and went to the strore first and stocked up on food and drinks. It was very handy and saved alot of money. We might do that again. John B.

At first I was like, Man, that guy can play a guitar, then when he started singing, I started smiling. Thanks for making my day. I wish I could recreate the day my Cajun brother in law took me on my first crawfishing trip. It is worthy of a story if I haven't already written it for AZB.

The GingerBread Man ain't no crawfish. He's more like one of those Great White Sharks.....

Thanks for the song. I would watch Tab Benoit play anywhere. I didn't know him before today. :o

Tab is one of my favorites ever. Met him in the early 1990's. Your pal Houma Troy is buddies with Tab. See post 18 of the thread below.
