As mentioned that's bullshit.... You jump on the bandwagon without any proof
Actually my comments was just how I thought the problem could be resolved.
Simple solution to problem.

That was my mindset in March of 2005...and 16 years later I have a new Southwest in my bag. No problem. The other problem is since everyone can get on the list without a deposit, lots of folks have the mindset well it doesnt cost anything I will put my name on the list.

Do they have a web site? I can't see one on google.
The idea of being on a 15 year waiting list kind of appeals to me. Something to look forward to!
I wonder, if I plant a tree now, will they make one out of my own wood?![]()
No, you sell your spot on the list.No website, why spend money with job security.
Can not fill orders as lines are long. Wait till turn come up for build.
If you say no, too pricy? Next person on list moves up.![]()

Here is the thing.....WHATEVER you pay for it, it's going to be immediately worth quite a bit more once finished and received. I didn't buy mine for that purpose (of flipping). Heck of a wait to score a few thousand dollars. So, really, the price is inconsequential. If necessary, beg or borrow when your name comes up and make it happen.Sixteen years was wait, and did the price take off like rocket?
You're almost there! Mine was March of 2005.....and I got my cue in January of this year. Trust me - it'll be worth the wait. I love mine.Guys -
I am not bitching so dont think this thread is about that. In fact, I had to laugh a little. I sent a note to Laurie and told her that many years ago I asked to be put on her waiting list. I am usually pretty good about writing down dates, but this one I hadn't.
I told her that I thought it had been 8-10 years ago, but wasn't sure. I explained that life and time passes and if you aren't careful they both pass very quickly. The last I had heard the wait was around 10 years or so, so I thought I might be getting near the top.
Laurie explained that they are working on the list and where they are at on the list January 2006. I was put on the list in June of 2006. She further explained that because of the Covid they are down to only half of their normal crew so my cue is probably about a year out.
So my brothers (and sisters), it has been 15 years. My question is if I die before I get this cue am I still on the list? LMAO
Best of rolls,
Ken
Hey, I get it! I look at the NEW cues and think, sheesh - how boring. Back in the day all of the best players had beautiful custom cues.....even the production cues were, for all practical purposes, custom and amazing. Now, everyone has a predator or cuetec...BORING. Ha!I don't get whats so special about southwest I've tried one from a friend and it shot normal, just as normal as your production JOSS cue which is a great cue tbh....so I am asking, other than it's resale value, whats special about southwest? seriously. All I can see is just a value, and for me the classic tranditional look just a meh in this day and age, FYI this is just my opinion I know some peeps out there love the classic look.
Yes, Laurie is an exceptional business woman who has been at the helm of this company for MANY years, and it only grows in popularity as it produces amazing cues.I’m going to assume you are trolling. South West has no interest in “ramping up” production. I’m sure if Laurie would ever take investors or a buyout, she has had MANY offers. Not everyone cares to make as money as they can by sacrificing other priorities. If anyone thinks Laurie isn’t a shrewd and capable business owner, I would invite them to compare their wait list, loyalty and resale value.

Yes, she has perfected her system and it works for all parties involved, to a tee!she likes what she is doing and how she does it. maximizing the profit isnt always everyone's goal in life. being happy doing what you do is the real thing.
whats the difference anyway she doesnt make you pay in advance like the crooks out there that live off your money while they tell you lies about the status of your cue.
Or my JossDefinitely a job security aspect to limited production and high demand. Plus, if I really, really, REALLY wanted one...I could pay double ...see 'em for sale here all the time. Also, gotta be an ego/status thing connected to them.
All that said, I sincerely doubt a Southwest would play any better than my Keith Josey.
You LITERALLY posted in another thread that you are ON the list, and you would be willing to sell your spot on the list....(I know, because I replied to your comment unfavorably). So how does one get on the list - what's the phone number or email
(702) 870-9615
Wasn't he posting the question of someone asking, "How does one get on the list?", by listing the phone number for SW Cues below it? It wasn't in quotes, which I found confusing, but after looking at it, I think Cowboy was posting the phone number below, so he does know how to get a hold of SW, at least that's how I read it now.You LITERALLY posted in another thread that you are ON the list, and you would be willing to sell your spot on the list....(I know, because I replied to your comment unfavorably).
Now you don't know how to contact Laurie? All anyone has to do is 15 seconds of research on Google to find their contact info.

Yeah - I think he was replying to me. I Googled but all I could find were links to Pooldawg, some collectors, and other - figured they'd have a website. So thanks for the phone number. I called to check where I am on the list and to add my sonWasn't he posting the question of someone asking, "How does one get on the list?", by listing the phone number for SW Cues below it?
