Last I heard he sold his cues to the late Ronnie Greer{forgot the correct spelling for his last name) And had quit pool
That's a shame but understandable with the lack of money in pool. He was a solid player.
Sparky quit maybe a year and a half ago playing fulltime. He then went to school for some buisness and to learn the ropes on opening up a abrber shop. i have not talked to him in probaly 8 months, but this is what he was set on doing. Hopefully, he is still doing it, or maybe even got his own place opened already.
He has not been seen in any tourneys so he must still be on this track. I will try and get in touch with him and see what hes been up to and ill pass it along if I have any luck.

He is working as a barber in Jacksonville NC...Sits at the pool room sometimes but doesn't play anymore.

Weren't many early pool halls extensions of the barber shop ?
He picked a good spot to barber , with Camp Lejeune all around , and no complicated cuts .
