Speak on your user name...

Was known at my previous job as "Chenz" which is short for Vinchenzo (really Vincent, or Vinny, or Vin) Surprised at how many people ask me what it means, especially on the road (also my plate on my motorcycle)

My last name is McCracken. One day at a Hunter stop we were trying to come up with a pc nickname that I could use for major tournaments since my nickname is McCrackhead or Crackhead or just Crack. My friend Amanda recommended Firecracker and I liked it.

My name is Chad Moore... C. Moore... Seymore... 15074 is my zipcode, that way seymore15074 is never taken on anything, so on any forum, myspace, whatever, I'm the same thing so i can remember it.

Well I used to go by the nick Richard Cranium

For some reason everyone thought I was a Dick Head,

I decided to retire the other nick and created BRKNRUN.

Now everyone will think thats what I actually do at the pool table..;)

Being naturally creative, I selected alstl because my name is Al and I'm from St Louis. Not very artsy fartsy is it?

monicker given to me by my peers for my slow crawling strokes/shots that seem to look like or have the tendency of not making the pocket. give my peers and opponent time to pray and add suspense in the match. I enjoyed the praying part and sigh of relief and disgust afterwards. It's like killing me softly or simply torture. :D

Many, many, many moons ago, I was born and named Jimmy Mack Carter. A few years went by and my mom/dad had split up. My mom decided she didn't want to raise my two brothers and I, so she put us up for adoption. My new adopted father's name was Jim. When someone would call Jim, we would both answer. I really liked the old cowboys at a young age, especially Wild Bill Hickok and Buffalo Bill Cody. My new parents had my name legally changed to William James. Many years later, I finally met my real mom. She's kind of an air head, which explains why she told me they named me after the song "Jimmy Mack" by Martha and the Vandellas which was released many years after I was born. So now my first name is Bill and my last name is Smutz.

Mine has nothing to do with pool, "12squared" is my last name: Gross = 144 = 12 squared

Dave Gross

I have been playing keyboards and singing in bands for the last 20 years, both cover and original. I have a home studio in which I do music production and mastering.

Fun thread --- Like the explanations for the names, have often wondered.

The name Jigger is not related to a shot of liquor. Even tho I'm very good with Royal Crown and 7up.

It's actually a semi-good natured insult for a previous obnoxious boss who I regularily fished with in Canada. He loved to fish for walleye which is jigging a minnow up and down up and down up and down for hours. Real borrrring and tedious.

I always prefered fishing for bigger fish like pike, muskie, smallmouth bass which requires accurate casting skills and keeping busy. The X-boss thot that was horrible, miserable way for him to spend the day.

He began calling me "Caster" in an smart a$$ way and I began calling him "Jigger". Nothing personal here against the wally fishermen up north there, Eh? Suppose I should have actually registered as Caster but preferred how Jigger sounded.

when i was 17 i started working for the guy who owned the pool hall that I frequented ... i had long hair at the time , and 30 years later , he was talking to some friends of mine that i was on a pool team with ...
he was refering to me as " that damned hippie" ... and so of course , they started calling me that .......

They were just in St Louis last Saturday night, Martha and the Vandellas.

If you need an explanation, I probably oughtn't tell you anyway.

Good Rolls,

I came by the title Black Boar Historian when I began an audit to determine how many cues Tony has made in 18 years. The website came after and there was no good reason not to continue to use it for association.

My car guy posting boards name. Initials combined with my car, a 1972 Porsche 911S. I bought it in '74, currently has a hair over 50,000 miles on it, still original paint. But, I recently got tired of the car scene...as the price of these collectables escalated, more and more egomaniacs moved into the clubs. So, I called a dear friend in Istanbul, made him a sales offer he couldn't refuse. I haven't signed the title yet, so I guess the car is still technically mine, but in my heart, it's gone. Guess I'd rather be the old guy in a pool hall instead of the old guy at a Porsche Clubs gathering. You see, the hustles are more easily spotted in a pool hall.
