Can u please show more pictures of the cue please I would like to see the whole cue together and or shaft side by side thanx from jay

I will 100% vouch for the seller. No worries in dealing with Matt. I've seen the cue in person and it's a great looker and player.

C'mon, guys. This is a chance to own an historically significant cue from a Hall of Fame maker. I mean, we all know where we were on New Years Eve '99!

For what it's worth, the cue will be shipped in a Imperial 2x2 case that could pretty easily be sold for $20-$30.

Shoot me a realistic offer and lets work something out!

we all know where Bill wasn't......celebrating the new year lol

nice cue

If both shafts are 13mm, I'd definitely snatch this beauty off your hands. Nice cue, love it, glws!

Bump for an awesome cue. It really deserves to be in nice collection rather that sitting in a case in my office. Or better yet, play it.

Shoot me a reasonable offer. You might be surprised.

Suspicious deuce

That number "two" looks awfully funny to me

It just doesn't look right. The bottom line
is extending underneath the dash separator.
The rest of the digits are on a consistent
italic slant. The "one" in front of the "two"
is a different angle than the "one" in 31.

Compare it to this number "two" on another Shick:

Totally different. My guess is this cue used
to be 7-31-99 and was changed to 12-31-99.
Here is an example of his italic engraved seven:

I would say changing the date to New Years
Eve is one of the strangest "enhancements"
I have seen on a cue. Then again that was
a strange New Years. Remember people
stockpiling water and freeze dried food?

Engraving ?s ability

That is an astute observation on the date engraved in the butt cap on this very nice Schick sneaky. Not implying the OP had anything to do with it or has previous knowledge of it! However I concur with the theory that the original date was 7/31/99 too bad because it truly is a nice cue! If it were mine I would send it to Bill for clarification.

Here is a logo close to that time frame. Matt has said he talked to Bill and he remembered the cue and the circumstances with the date. It does look like it started out as a 7 though. Maybe Bill messed up the date and this was his attempt to correct it without replacing the butt cap?

Due to concerns surrounding the authenticity of the date on this cue, this will be the last time I bump it until I can get a letter of provenance from Mr. Schick. While I stand 100% behind my account of the phone conversation I had with Mr. Schick after purchasing this cue, I can understand potential buyer's concerns. You can never be too careful and a letter of provenance can only help.

Having said that, the cue is obviously still for sale. If you're interested in it and the authenticity of the date concerns you but you don't want to wait for me to get a letter from Mr. Schick, I'm sure if you called him and reminded him of my account mentioned in the opening post, he'll remember the cue. If the date doesn't concern you, just shoot me an offer.

Thank you for looking and I'll be back.
