There is banger at my hall who tries to get maximum draw on every other shot... Maybe I just didn't realize he's been playing this game all along.
 
At 55, the chances of myself turning Pro would be much higher than remembering all the rules to that one.

I thought this was pretty silly until I got to the very end:

"Unnecessary Draw

Limit 1 per game – Player shoots shot and draws the Cue ball a minimum of 1 full table distance for 1 bonus point per shot. The purpose of this shot is to let spectators see the extreme Cue ball movement on the table."

Bonus points for unnecessary table length draw shots for no other reason but to wow the cheerleaders! Seems very American!!! I'm in.

They recently had a tournament exhibition at Marietta Billiards Club in Atlanta. I did not attend. I understand that Tommy Najir played in it and that it was a successful event among the paying spectators. I think the purpose is to generate some excitement for the spectators.

Again, I did not attend, so I cannot comment beyond speculation. Perhaps Chris Niksch (Ga Billiard Academy) who put this on, or others who were there will post up.
 
Well at least someone is thinking out side the box, perhaps a bit too far.

stage one shooting in ALL 6 balls with out a CB is probably my top level-thats level 1, i might need some weight.:cool:

First off if the game seems a little out in left field, I designed it based off of thousands of hours of data from pool players and non poolplayers. The game is meant to be really cool to watch, spectator friendly. Also, if you practice Strikeout, your offensice game will get better. We, ve tested it with several folks.

We have introduced Strikeout to several player at Marietta Billiard Club. On the 27th we had a Doubles tourney and everyone there had a fantastic time, so we're doing another one on May 25 @ Marietta Billiard Club.

Last weekend we unveiled my new Design to go with my new game. It is a Billiards Bout, this may sound a but strange since it has not been attempted before we did it last weekend. We are trying to give billiards some additional spectator value in order to cintinue promoting this amazing, but often overlooked, sport. Now, with our new design folks can come and have an atmosphere similar to go to a prize fight. 90% of the folks in attendance had a great time and stated they would absolutely come for the next one.

With this being the first one we obviously had a few glitches, as would be expected, but now we know what to do to make it better and put on one heck of a show.

You really couldn't have asked for a better event. Danny Cash made one hell of a bank to send the bout into a 3 way sudden death playoff, had he missed the shot, Tommy Najar would have won, but since he made it, everything changed anf really made it a cool ending.

Anyone, having questions on Strikeout Billiards, just let me know and I'll answer them acxordingly.

Thanks to all of our supporters out there and anyone that wants to support the small guys trying to do big things

Jay,

It's actually pretty simple. The part that seems to be a bit overwelming are understanding the showoff shots. I am currently working on a way to make it easier to understand. We are justing getting it out, so we will continue simplifying it based on feedback from anyone playing Strikeout Billiards. It's different and will absolutely challenge anyone wanting to master it.

All feedback is appreciated, good or bad. I have been building this with poolplayers. We've made adjustments to make the game great for the players. Naturally there are a few minor adjustments to make, but hey we're atleast getting out there and have a ton of energy and passion behind this project.
