Hey guys,

I was wondering...my personal preference in bridges is the "bat" bridge. In particular, the Spinali brand is vastly superior to other crappy ones. The material is thicker, making the bridge feel more solid. Most importantly, however, the material is far smoother and slipperier. This results in quite a bit more confidence when using the bridge.

Here's the problem: where the heck can I buy one? It seems like no one sells them anymore. I would like to buy several, since many of my friends want them too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

As Tony Soprano would say: "Fuggit-about-it" ... I carried a Bat Bridge in my League Case for years.
Then, my old team-mate, Larry Keller, designed the Just-a-Bridge
Hands down, the best Bridge you can buy, under $30.00, totally safe for your expensive shafts,
works great for every imaginable type of shot, fits neatly in your Case, and most importantly,
It's very well crafted.

You can find one here: http://www.seyberts.com/products/Justa_Bridge_Bridge_Head-101601-38.html

Bridge

Check out Juan Rios

He makes the madman tips (great tips too).

He was making a great bridge also

Not a lotta bells and whistles but the best bridge I've come across in sometime.

Great guy to deal with and if you play one pocket his bridge is the ticket.

I don't think they make the original Spinali anymore. I use the knockoffs I guess.

Btw, I thought they were also called the Bat Bridge, but they never were officially. The only officially-named Bat Bridge is this one:

This bridge is designed by a local player in St. Pete.

Freddie <~~~ holy Spinali, Batman!

Thanks guys...but the purpose of this thread is not to discover an alternative to the Spinali bridge. I am trying to locate one. All the knock-offs are junk. Really terrible quality plastic that doesn't slide smoothly no matter what you do.

If anyone knows of any hidden stashes of these, or has one they would like to sell, by all means let me know.

Thanks again,

+1 here. His 'One Pocket' bridge is incredible for shooting over balls.

The Spinali Bridge is a great tool, I have a coule of em. They were knocked off, and IMHO the knock off are not as good, but the knock offs, are not like the real Spinali bridge. IMHO.

I find that the knock offs have sharp ridges in the grooves. Thats the first order is to sand them smooth. I wouldn't lay a cue in one of them without sanding first.

I bought one off ebay and it is fine. I sanded down the grooves as you said and I also replaced the rubber grommet. The one it came with was very hard more like plastic. It works great. It cost me like $3.00.

bump, I'm also looking for an original as well.

I believe it is supposed to be. However, that picture very much resembles one of the many inferior knockoffs. Another thorn in this particular option is that my friend actually ordered and paid for this. She was soon thereafter contacted with a message saying the item is out of stock and they refunded her money.

Still searching...

I saw 3 Black bat type bridge heads in my pool drawer the other day, how do I tell the difference?

The Spinali one has the word "Spinali" stamped into the plastic. It is a bit thicker than the typical knock offs, it has nicer beveled edges, and most notably is made of a very hard plastic with a noticeable texture to it...not flat black. It almost has a sort of speckled look to it. But the name Spinali stamped into it is the real giveaway.

If you have one I'd be interested in buying it!

PM me please. And thanks a lot for checking!

Well I looked at all 3 last night, none of them have anything stamped in them, all 3 had little gold made in Taiwan stickers on them.:frown:
