Ultimately, I think you can compare this cue to to the first cues with hi/lo points.
I love uniform points with tight, crisp veneers -- in my book, Hoppe cues approach perfection and will never die. But, let's face it, variety is the spice of life. Espiritu stepped out of the box here and gave us all something to think about -- especially you cuemakers.
Before I posted at all, I called these "party points" now I am thinking they should be called "Espiritu Points".
