Hey everyone, Charlie here and the beginning stages of planning for the Valley Forge 14.1 Challenge have begun.
First and foremost I would like to thank Bob Jewett for once again stepping up to the plate with a massive thousand dollar donation. We can not thank you enough for all that you do for the game of straight pool and pocket billiards in general.
Secondly I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support at last year's event.
Thirdly I would like to say that the logistics of this years event are currently being worked out to include both a pro and amateur side. Now I know that figuring out who is a pro and who is an amateur will be difficult but I feel that I , Steve, and the people of this forum who helped us out last year will be able to differentiate who is on that list.
If your name is Thorsten Hohmann you will move to the pro side of things lol, if your name is Charles Eames you move to the amateur side so on and so forth.
However that being said I would like to let everyone know that those amateurs will have a choice as to which division they would like to play in.
Guys this is the tough part. Right now what is needed is money to make this event happen again. Last year you all were incredibly kind to offer up 25.00 in service of this event and I am asking you all to do so again.
In the weeks to come a full format will be issued here on AZbilliards for all of you to review, comment on, and advise us on to make this event better for you the players.
If you are interested in contributing the $25.00 again please get in touch and we will set up a separate thread the same way we did last year and it will go towards purchasing booth space to make this event even better than last year.
Thank you all so much for your support and love of the game of 14.1.
Charlie
