Hey everyone, Charlie here and the beginning stages of planning for the Valley Forge 14.1 Challenge have begun.

First and foremost I would like to thank Bob Jewett for once again stepping up to the plate with a massive thousand dollar donation. We can not thank you enough for all that you do for the game of straight pool and pocket billiards in general.

Secondly I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support at last year's event.

Thirdly I would like to say that the logistics of this years event are currently being worked out to include both a pro and amateur side. Now I know that figuring out who is a pro and who is an amateur will be difficult but I feel that I , Steve, and the people of this forum who helped us out last year will be able to differentiate who is on that list.

If your name is Thorsten Hohmann you will move to the pro side of things lol, if your name is Charles Eames you move to the amateur side so on and so forth.

However that being said I would like to let everyone know that those amateurs will have a choice as to which division they would like to play in.

Guys this is the tough part. Right now what is needed is money to make this event happen again. Last year you all were incredibly kind to offer up 25.00 in service of this event and I am asking you all to do so again.

In the weeks to come a full format will be issued here on AZbilliards for all of you to review, comment on, and advise us on to make this event better for you the players.

If you are interested in contributing the $25.00 again please get in touch and we will set up a separate thread the same way we did last year and it will go towards purchasing booth space to make this event even better than last year.

Thank you all so much for your support and love of the game of 14.1.

Charlie

I'll be happy to put up $25.00 again. And if things work out this year, I hope to make it down there to give it a try.

With high runs of 63 (and a 61 in this year's AZ challenge), I think that relegates me to the amateur side. :o

I'll do a hundred.

Wow this is the kind of support we need to make this event amazing once again. I will be in touch via PM to give you all the details etc.

Thank you so much for your incredible support and at this rate we will reach our goal in no time.

Charlie

Glad To Help Out.

Charlie, there is a benefit motorcycle ride honoring the 72 police officers who lost their lives on 911 May 12, 2011 called "The 9-11 Blue Valor Ride". It goes from Ground Zero to a new law enforcement museum in Washington D.C. I will be giving to them but I have no problem with helping out this great 14.1 event that you work so hard on. I will give $25 like I did last year. I wish that I could give more but it is the best I can do.

Please dont sell yourself short as that $25.00 is going to be a huge help to us and anything is appreciated even if it is just time at the booth hanging out with us and keeping us sane lol lol.

Count me in for a $50.00 donation :)

Thats amazing thank you so much. I really think that with this in forum's help it will literally pay for one of our booths.

Thank you so much guys.

Hey everyone I will be starting another thread with the people who will be donating to the 2010 event.

Thank you so much.

Thank You All for your Very Genorous contributions...

Here's to making the 2011 SBE 14.1 Challenge a bigger and better success !!!

It would all not be possible with the help and support of all of you guys !

Thanks
-Steve

I am in the process of trying to secure streaming for this event now. Details will follow Allen thank you so much for your incredible donation.

Charlie

Donations have already begun to come in and I can't wait to see what else comes in. Thank you so much to Dave Nelson as his donation was the first to be received for $100.00.

I'm in for $50.

Charlie, have you decided how the prize structure is going to work? It is very likely the amateur side of things will have many more entries than the pro; does this mean the amateurs will be eligible to win more prize money?

This could get a bit tricky :).

Thanks, as always.

- Steve

Steve I am working on that now and will be in touch with you to work out some of the logistics. I am working on something now that may over ride the prize money for the amateur side to some extent.

Ill hit you up this week to discuss.

More importantly thanks so much for your donation man as always !!

Could you email the donors or post here your contact info?

What's the date of this Valley Forge event?

I will post my address on the main page. As far as I know the dates for Valley Forge this year are March 10-13.

I'm in for $100. Where do I send it?
Bill

Hi Bill I see you have been on the forum for a while. Hope to see you post a bit more though.
Anyway very nice gesture sir. So for that I will give you some green rep.
Then you will have more than one green dot.

I am an old friend of yours and we played many times throughout the northeast.

Hope you are well and it stays that way, Gary
