What price point would you target Lee? Ideally such a taper machine could turn squares of various sizes round and taper shafts, butts, and forearm size pieces. It would need to be stable, yet not have a huge footprint IMO.

Taper Machine
Are you talking something like your breeze with a longer travel or a stand alone taper machine?
As a beginner, I'd be interested in the prior when I reach the inlay stage.

Dave why cut 32"??? anyway we are making a stand alone 2 axis cnc shaft and butt machine the price will it with a Kress router... shipped anywhere lower 48. all aluminum 3 axis controller linear rails both axis with stainless precision screw and anti backlash nuts this baby has a 39" travel
and we will also include 4 shaft tapper programs free with the machine also machine buyers will enjoy a reduced price on my high quality shaft dowels
and when i say reduced i mean it there will be a substantial discount. we have been working on this and will be done shortly at this time no pictures but i will take names on a list for machine shipment when ready.
no up front or deposit payment due on date of shipping.........

The longest cue I have made to date is 64" long 13.75 MM shaft for a man is Sterling VA. He still holds the butt at the bumber at 64". Very tall man and long arms.
