Stan's Curious Curtain Video

Plenty of people are on Stan's side. Most stay off of AZ because of the petty bullshit on here..The ones who are against it on here have never actually learned the system, which begs the question, Why do they even care if we use it or not.

In truth the guys against Stans claim are actually helping this train wreck of a system to stay on track.

Why did Stan do curtain tricks?
Why did he say its attached to any 2x1 playing surface?
Why does he say its a professional approach into pocketing balls?
Did he also put up a video mentioning Efren ?
There's much more and none of it is needed if you have something truely of any value.
I don't care what you use, but don't mislead people with your claims, its just wrong.

Bingo! If your aiming system really is the nuts, then please, please find someone who can explain it better instead of chastising those who "don't get it." Of course, that gives the benefit of the doubt that the system actually does work as described.

You sound like English now. Remember his obsession with "the lurkers".
Your observations have been explained and discredited very nicely.

You might want to have a chat with Stan. He obviously read my comments in this thread regarding the laser pointer thing and felt it valid enough to merit posting a "redo" video after 1.5 years of no videos.

He explains it just fine for those that are actually willing to listen. But, for some, it's hard to actually hear when one spends all their time trying to find something wrong with it.

And yet, he hasn't said anything that actually is misleading.

Neil, I'm going back to ignore with you until you add something useful to the conversation. :)

I try my best to listen to Stan, but it is a little hard to understand the pearls of wisdom hidden behind the barage of GFO's and FO's. Must be a new way of teaching pool, like new math or something. Maybe it is version three of his system, "CTE Pro-1 GFO." :D

I did, but as usual, you didn't hear it.

bye bye:p

Aiming

Decided this wasn't the right place for this post. So I deleted it.

The claims are backed up with the experience of actually using the system, not sitting behind a keyboard.

Stan explains it good enough to teach 2 or 3 students a week. In fact most of the major instructors teach a version of CTE.
PS maybe it's your comprehension or the fact you've never actually had a lesson on CTE

But yet you want to be spoonfed the actual info, lol

Arguing on the internet

Enough said.

The claims are backed up with the experience of actually using the system, not sitting behind a keyboard.

It's true he made videos about Efren and Bustamante and their technique.

And it's also true that he has nothing to do with their style of play.

They both stroke the cue ball with "wrist turns", they look at the object ball all the time (ob edges), and they use specific footwork to cut the ball at any speed. Stan used to say that his system requires a "straight stroke". And that there is not much about footwork. And that there are no adjustments for speed (lol).

The two Filipinos also play any shot from both sides (inside and outside) depending on the cue ball reaction they want after contact.

You play shots from one side because you think that pivoting from outside thickens the shot and pivoting from inside thins the shot.

These two guys use wrist turn pivots (also half tip) but they know how the pivots work to swerve the cue ball.

You don't know about this and you play your cue ball only from one side for your thick and the other side for your thin. And you don't even notice what your cue ball is doing after contact. That's because you don't know footwork and ob edges (you focus on the cue ball...). Both Efren and Francisco have said they always look at the object ball. You can see for yourself.

So yes, Stan's technique has nothing to do with Efren's or Busty's technique.

I'm not going to profess about anything the Filipino's do. They are rare breeds. But that being said i know Stan has watched considerable amount of video on them so i am sure his comments relate directly to that.
Busty appears to play everything from left to right and has also stated that fact to a very good friend of mine. You dispute that but offer nothing, break down a video for us.
Then u make assumptions about what we do without really knowing what we do. I focus on edges and the object ball.
PS Footwork, wrist turns and swerve, got to be a well oiled machine to get that right on every shot.

Yeah sure....
Bustamante appears to play eveything from left to right because of his elbow and wrist turning. But he is using both sides. You haven't watched very carefully..... You can go back and start watching him.
He uses at least 5 left foot positions. And this is not because it just feels comfortable.
You have no idea of what footwork can do.

You say you look at the object ball and edges. When did that happen ? Show me where Stan has said he looks at edges and the object ball. I have both dvd's and have watched all the youtube videos.

P.S. You can't prove anything about the speed nonsense. If you make shots at any speed by doing exactly the same thing (you think so....), you are not aware of your adjustments. Same thing for back cuts, banks, etc.....

Happy new year !!!!!!!!!
