starting to play three cushion billiards

If your new try using just two balls. hit first ball 3 rails into the second ball. This will help you with the rail system. Once you can run 3-5 then start using the third ball. Good luck with the game. It takes alot of patience and pratice.

I'm looking to buy a carom cue... as I said in the OP I played with a predator sneaky pete with a 314 shaft. It is probably too heavy and long for play 3 cushions ( 21+ oz and 59 inches long). A guy wants to sell me his cue: an Adam super professional ( it has a Kobayashi signature on it). No idea how much is the value ( if somebody knows......), he wants 200€ for it, I tried it and I'm not crazy about it but I have no knowledge in carom cues. I tried to roll it on a table and it was wobbling and the tip was leaving the table... so it wasn't in the best conditions for sure. Somebody has advice in what to look for a carom cue?

yeah no chance I'm going to buy that cue. I'm just looking for some advice for a carom cue. If we are talking about pool cue I know what I should look, but not for carom cues.

Italy == Longoni is your choice. They have all ranges in price.

Hanbat is another with a wide range in price.
Adam is an old time favorite for many.

After that you're starting to move toward custom cues. That's another list.

Longoni should be easiest to find and try for you. And just look at all the pros they sponcor. That at least tells me they're interested. I'm pretty sure you can pick a 2 Star and choose a premium shaft too. The European taper is maybe part of your problem. Longoni offers a variety of tapers. Maybe go with a little flex but not a pool taper. I played with one for years.. Great cue but I got the bug to try something different..

Can't get much different than Dieckman.

the guy sells me his used kobayashi cue with the Adam shaft for 200€, is an okay price? The shaft is not in perfect shape, I see if I can replace the old shaft with a new one for the same price

Sounds Ok to me. As long as the shaft is straight and the butt only shows that its been used, sounds perfect.

Heck many shafts are sold for $150 -$200 alone

This is the cue I'm talking about:

I did some search online and looks like it is a kobayashi 5604.104...
the cheapest price is 268€ and the highest 488€ the other prices are in the 300-450€ range... also the cues online have the standard shaft, instead mine has the adam professional shaft... I think for 200€ I made a good deal.
