If anyone likes to watch him play
Wikipedia is your friend...I remember the name, just forgot what he was about and why he was banned.
And they gave John Higgins a slap on the wrist for willingly participating in a match fixing sheme. The fact that he got caught before being able to follow through on the planned fix is irrelevant. He was all in with both feet! Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed watching him play before he got banned. Haven't really seen anything from him since then.
I understand that situation very, very differently from the way you do.And they gave John Higgins a slap on the wrist for willingly participating in a match fixing sheme. The fact that he got caught before being able to follow through on the fixing of his matches is irrelevant.
He was a good snooker pro many years ago.Incidentally, the main site is down but the direct forum link is working. Yay.
Stephen Lee seems to be just another "exemplary" pooler.
Yes, different tabloids reported for or against. Big scary Russian sounding dudes in a room made him wet himself into saying 'yes' - I don't buy it personally.I understand that situation very, very differently from the way you do.
'Rolls Royce cue action' back in the day - my dad used to say it helps when you've got 30stone of flesh locking the cue in placeHe was a good snooker pro many years ago.
He cheated and got kicked off.
Now he's old and a shell of what he was.
Yes I used the word pooler as a dismissive. Cue-er maybe? He was a good snooker pro many years ago.

You bought the cover up Bob. I watched the entire video when he was secretly recorded, asking them how he could launder the cash.I understand that situation very, very differently from the way you do.
Higgins didn't take much convincing. He gladly jumped in bed with those guys.Yes, different tabloids reported for or against. Big scary Russian sounding dudes in a room made him wet himself into saying 'yes' - I don't buy it personally.

Higgins was just too big of a star to ban. Stephen Lee was just right, not the highest echelon but a player with some name recognition to make an example out of. It all comes down to money and politics. Lee was a cheater, though, so he got what he deserved. He was also very stupid, which ensured that he got caught. There are a lot of match fixers in snooker, but they never get caught. Like most on here, I'm not adverse to puttting a few dollars on the outcome of a game, but boy oh boy have I been burned by even pros in snooker. I wish I could find the game I bet on where a pro threw the game so hard that I just had to laugh...Of course it would have been a lot funnier if the game wasn't a part of a parlay in which I stood to win 3k had he played on the up and up. I've since become wary of betting on low level pros. And they gave John Higgins a slap on the wrist for willingly participating in a match fixing sheme. The Higgins story was complicated. Hence he was not punished as severely as it happened with later cases. And they gave John Higgins a slap on the wrist for willingly participating in a match fixing sheme. Yes, I've read and heard both sides of the coin, and whether it lands heads or tails, having zero action against him seemed ludicrous to me.Higgins didn't take much convincing. He gladly jumped in bed with those guys.
